   Ooh, James -- that third one might be the best type you've done (that I've seen). It's a chubbier Downturn, isn't it?

   (I think, if wanted a dynamic logo without losing the recognition of a static brand, I'd have the word SOMETHING designed with a strong, easily recognizable branding that carried across each issue -- and I'd have the artist of each month's cover write, draw, paint, papercraft, whatever the word MAKE.)

   PS, I don't know if anyone else is going for a theme but I thought I would do a story based around "make something".
   
   Cooking up a one page/2pager comic as I write. If MSM is filled put me in que for the nxt one, please Alan :) This is fun.

   Blech, somehow my weekend went from free to very very busy. I also like Ariana's idea (so I guess I 6th her idea), it's a good compromise between logo and giving the cover people more freedom. So it comes down to what the SOMETHING will look like then. I am a bit partial to the third font James put up above, myself. Though am curious about the other possible fonts you may have, sir.
   
   I got a growing list of who has said they want to contribute, post holidays (or before if you got time) would like updates from folk so I know where it's all headed.

   I was sick the week leading up to Christmas and then again I've got an annoyingly terrible cold/flu/thing but I'm in the middle of my piece.
   
   I can't find the post where you mention the deadline, though?
   
   And it's alright if my pages are black all the way to the trimmed edge, right?

    Hmmm, completely unrelated to submissions but is there anyone who'd be willing to put there hand up to send one of the mag's to me when it's released?
    
    Mag cloud don't ship to Australia, and I'd be happy to pay for postage from where ever on top of the Magcloud postage to you, and for my copy of the Make Something obviously.

    - What format do you want these files in? I'm assuming TIFF, but confirmation would be nice.

    So as of yesterday the deadline for the first issue is two weeks away. If anyone who was set to contribute to the first issue isn't going to make the deadline, please let me know either through here or email. Anyone who is wanting to contribute in the future (there will be at least 6 issues of this) feel free to contact or send things to the MakeSomethingmag @ gmail.com expect a day or two lapse in response time.
