The deadline is whenever I hit 28 pages of appropriate content, including a nice front and back cover image. It's a serendipitous method but it seems to work, and stresses me out less. With work, school, internship, and an intense shooting schedule for a web series, less stress on something does help me out immensely.
Issue number one is now available completely free for your viewing and downloading pleasure right here I went over things, messed with fonts, and fixed the story layouts I did (they were horrible and detracted from the really great work). So it's all better now, and is 4 pages shorter! The revised issue is also up at the MagCloud page for anyone who would want a hard copy.
Update: I am in the middle of getting the third issue together, though still need a few things to make it whole. These include a front cover, a back cover (which is now a full page minus an inch at the bottom instead of the old two thirds of a page), and a few pages to fill in the center. What I have so far is as always fantastic work, and I need more of it! This issue is the opposite of last issue, I am really lacking in any form of prose this time around, so a good written piece or two would be very helpful, though don't let that discourage any other form of work, every kind of creative work is welcomed. If it doesn't end up fitting here due to too much similar content, there is always issue four!
@luckycreature I shall check them both momentarilly and let you know, thanks a lot for sending them!
@krakatoakatie I was a complete moron and deleted the email for submissions on the front page (it's makesomethingmag@gmail.com) but will email you in a few.
Cover for #3 is all set. Painted by Krakatoakatie (who has some more work inside the issue itself)
The rest of the issue is about halfway filled. Still could use some more stuff for anyone just coming to the thread (or has been around but hasn't submitted anything). A nice sized short story would be fantastic btw (any fiction would, or pictures, art, or anything else) really anything that is creative.
Allen, feel free to hit me for copyediting this time around. i really should've written that travelog about cuba by now, but this was a long hot summer.
