So our esteemed virtual land lord and all around love swami ended up linking this thread on his site today, which has greatly increased the number of submissions I received today. Which once I go through everything, means the third issue is pretty much covered.
Now having said that, do please continue sending stuff my way for the magazine. While the stuff I have right now will more then fill up the third issue, the rest of it will go into issue four, and if people continue to submit I won't have to go on my pleading and begging drive for the next issue which can lead to releasing an issue much sooner.
So any art, writing, comics, or anything else that is created and can be presented in a magazine, send my way. I'm also thinking about adding an interview every issue and would be very interested if anyone would be willing to do a piece on their creative process with pictures if they work in a field that lends itself to images.
Make Something #3 is now available for purchase, and Magcloud is also running a 25% off sale for the rest of the month, so perfect timing. This issue features artwork, fiction, comics, and a manifesto from a variety of talented people, most of which are either Whitechapel regulars or found the call for submission thanks to Warren putting it onto his site. So really you are getting quality work from those you know and love. Oh and there's a Space Shark in there too, and it looks awesome on the printed page... AWESOME!!!
Yes it is a temporary thing, but as I'm not 100% sure when I will have excess monies to get the server back up, I have put the first two issues up on Scribd. Here are the links, issue 1 and issue 2.
If you want, you can send me the PDFs (or I probably have them on my computer somewhere) and can put them in my public dropbox folder so people can still get em. Can also make a simple page to link to them, from my own host or tumblr or something :3
You can download the PDF from Scribd, you have to log in/sign up but it only takes a minute, and the site has a ton of great free magazines and other assorted works. And once I get the Zombie Conversational site up and running again the issues will be for download there too.
In other news, it is once again time for me to ask for more content for the next issue! I am mostly in need of pictures and art. So any photos, drawings, paintings, or anything else, as long as there is some kind of visual element that goes along with it, is very welcome and needed. That doesn't mean it has to just be visual, but to have a healthy mix for the issue I am looking for something that has at least some visual elements.
