Google Street View apparently shows a corpse. I haven't found this on Snopes, but have contacted them to verify or falsify this. Still, really fucked up if it's for real.

    death in New York?

I think I prefer the Google Earth Flying Car or even the poor streetwalkers to this ...

Not necessarily a corpse. But that's a damn odd thing to have been captured.

I just went to that address (e 29 and Park) on Google map. I can't get that exact view to come up, but if you are coming up 29th heading West, you can make out that cluster of people on the corner. The two red shirts are clearly visible.

What I found odd is that the decedants head was blurred out. That's NYC.

Jeff - Google streetview does the blurring algorithmically. It's also known to protect the identity of Colonel Sanders.

Google has removed the image... if you go to that intersection it now shows a "This image is no longer available." Probably something someone just never caught.

Edit: if you go a little up 29th St to where it starts showing images again, you can still see the crowd of people, you just can't make out that there's a guy on the ground any more.

Further Edit: while I was poking around on Google Maps, they replaced the image with a presumably fresh one (the cars and construction and stuff are now completely different than the surrounding areas)
