Merry 25th, whatever that means to you, from FREAKANGELS. We're taking a two-week skip this year, but we're going to have new pin-ups for both Fridays so you'll have something pretty to look at.

There's very rarely any in-between, so today is likely going to be hectic or deadddddd. Whichever it is for you, I do hope it doesn't suck. There should be a few folks milling around here -- say hello, let us know you're still alive.

    Joy and holiday happiness!

Oh, that Mark! Always so festive!

Our tradition now seems to be packing or unpacking shit to move. Hopefully this is the last time. Got the house, though the circumstances are less than ideal (right now.) Inlaws' train is getting in at just after midnight. So, technically, Boxing Day. How appropriate--help us pack our shit so we can get out by the 1st.

Past that, happy Festivus, or whatever. Hope you all make it through, make it through alright, and see you in 2010: The Year We GET EXCITED AND MAKE THINGS.

    Awwww, that's purty...

Ummm, aside from quite a lot of tears from Mum, the day went pretty well. I'm exhausted though. 3 hours time difference really hurts the first few days.

Alive and kinda-sorta moving. Merry Whatever You Celebrate to all you wacky Whitechapelers.

I really want a bunny hat like that. Too cute.

I'm alive, but barely. Been on the road on a holiday tour of Colorado since yesterday around noon. Traveled from Colorado Springs up to Denver for Christmas Eve dinner, then further north into Brush to crash for the night, then further north this morning into the frozen tundra of Wray, where the temp is a balmy -15F, the wind is 45 mph, and 3-4 foot snow drifts. I may never see civilization again. Tell my cats I love them.

Whaddup? I stayed up to catch up in Freak Angels after I was done reading my paperback issues of the first 2 volumes, I stay in Seattle but right now I'm at my mom's house watching tv since its Christmas, so I'm just waiting 'till my mom is done cooking so I can pig out. I'm so anxiously waiting for the next episode, not looking forward to having 2 weeks without my drug, hahahaha

I'm at work today, all evening long, inside the prison. So whatever you do today, be thankful you have (some amount of) freedom. It's the most depressing day of the year behind the walls, and I'll be doing my best to help reduce the amount of suicides this year.

    Cheerfully yours,

Enjoy your two-week skip. And of course we'll be supporting you during 2010, plus, there'll be much more of us.
(Hey, I saw a french language print of Black Summer in my favorite bookshop. I hope this is only the first Avatar book in French in an unlimited series)

Working here! Looking forward to a few days off after this though. Got some painting to do this weekend, I think. Making making making.

Hope you have a good day, Ariana, and the rest of you as well.

Just found out one of my friends is going to prison and another one is having a baby. Fortunately, they're in the order that makes sense, which is to say, the one having a child should be, and the one going to prison is a bit of a criminal. Still sucks though. Merry Antichristmas.

Pretty art. :) Thanks for the great year of comics and hope everyone else is having a nice holiday.

Me, I'm staying at home with the folks, which is nice on one hand, but on the other after the present unwrapping and the upcoming cooking a Large Beast, it doesn't really feel like anything's different. It also sucks because the present I got for my dad didn't come in.

But hey, got some nice things, and nothing's gone terribly wrong so far, so can't complain. :)

I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
Happy Holidays Everyone! I'd complain about the lack of Angels, but I'm ecstatically aware that I got this instead: <a href="">60 minutes of brilliant, genius, spectacular, breathtaking SF</a>. God bless Russell T Davies, and a merry Christmas to all!

A good day. Enjoyed Doctor Who well enough, but was riveted by the first part of the Arena interview with/biog of Orson Welles.

    Happy Merry, everyone.

It's been a good one. On my own, finally, finally. Cat sitting for friends. Pondering whether to call the crush or let it be. (Translation: trying to talk myself into calling.) Meandering about my erstwhile home which has nearly everything I would want in my home (save coffee...?!?!) but put away in different places. Love the family, also love time away from the family. Hence this Christmas is WIN.

Happy lovely day to my FreakFamily. I hope it's been pretty much what you always wanted. }:>

This year was a challenge in scraping and scrimping and bargain hunting but we managed to get enough gifts for the kids to make them happy.
I had to give up my arthritis/ulcer/nerves medication for the most part to be able to afford to live and buy presents this month, and I've got about fifty bucks to my name for the rest of this week, and we need butt paper, poo pads for the dogs and piss crystals for the cats (I'm so uncouth).
It was kinda nice though, once all the craziness was over. The kids still do the santa thing, and were so excited.
We had discovered a little wild mouse that's been stealing old catfood from the inside of our shop vac I moved to the porch to make room, so on christmas eve night we put a bowl of trail mix out for it (and the reindeer according to the children). I hope it found it. I have a fondness for mice, as long as they don't get into me foods, and I doubt any mouse would step foot in this house with the smell of snake, dog and cat everywhere.
Last week my ball python escaped and I was really worried about her, but on christmas eve, I was talking to my dad on the phone in Kodama's room, and I guess she was done hiding because I happened to look down and there she was peeking out from behind a bookcase. she was ready to come back to her tank. she was so cold! I cuddled with her for a couple hours and warmed her up, then put her to bed. Unfortunately she didn't eat the dead mouse I had left out for her when she had first disappeared and I can't afford another one until the first (I'd have to travel about eighty miles round trip to get the mouse and I don't have that much gas in the car). I prepared for such an event though and fattened her up really well over the last few months so she'll be okay. grumpy and pouty but okay.
I was really happy about what I got this year. my husband's granny made us a black, grey and white patchwork quilt (I won't sleep under anything else. I've got three from her now). my hubs got me about six of the time life Enchanted World books. It was the best present he could have gotten for me. When I was an itty bitty kid my aunt sent me three or four of them and my dad would read stories from them to me for bed time stories. It was how I got my obsession with Beowulf, dragons and monsters. I've been hunting the series down my whole life, and have managed to collect about ten of the thirty something they put out.
After christmas morning my hubs mom came and whisked away the children for a couple days, so chris and I sat around watching movies all day. We watched Paranormal Activity last night and a documentary on vikings. I was actually kinda impressed by paranormal. It did the blair witch thing better than blair witch. I thought the folks in it acted a lot more realistically. The guy was a douche...the couple reminded me through the whole thing of my brother and his fiance.
