    Eye was annoying me, so had to wear a patch to give it a rest and avoid headaches. Figured, why not try to figure out the lousy camera this computer has.

    Oh, Oddbill, those are lovely! You got a perfect likeness, while making them your own. Wonderful. (and I love the glowiness!)

    haha Oddbill those are fantastic!
    I love it that this:
    just emptied my whisky flask and had run out of beer an hour ago. I was plotting who would be the easiest to knock out of their kayak and steal their beer. It was either that or find out if spanish moss had any hallucinogenic properties.

    is what FredG posted along with that photo - you totally nailed that one.

    Thanks all!

    @PintSizedCat - the colors on FredG just fell together. Duplicating things in layers and just sliding the Tone bar control to see what happens is a great way to discover surprises that work!

    @Florence Chan - Thanks for putting up the picture! Your hair is way fun to scribble with markers!

    @Rachael Tyrell - Thanks! I'm kind of honored that you like these - your photography and mad visual courage are an inspiration. My favorite of the few portraits I did in the 2009 thread was the one I did from the photo you posted. That works not because my drawing is good, but because it's a decent drawing of your confidently iconic self-portrait.

    @citruscreed - Ha! I had forgot that text was there - but it must have been subconsciously influencing!

    @FredG - Cheers!

    I'm going to try to do a couple each week for a bit. I'm sooo jealous of some-who-draw-among-us and their ability to knock out lively portraits with a strong graphic hook. I have not traditionally been good at strong graphic hooks, and would very much like to improve.

    @ Oddbill - you are too kind. I do love that portrait.

    @Oddbill-Those portraits are wonderful

    Florence Chan, from a few pages back. Her hair IS fun to draw, Oddbill!

    I.... thought I posted here. Maybe i dreamed it.

    Anyway, I've been done before, but I thought I'd submit myself to your whims in case my face seems tempting. Here's some stuff of me. I've finally been delving into the manual settings of my lil point & shoot to see what it does, so.... here:

    Have some VERY SERIOUS (why?) and similar shots of the ridiculousness my hair does when i wake up:

    DSCF3321rdx

    DSCF3283rdx

    look! Direct sunlight makes it look like I don't age!

    aaaand.... me with a hat.

    Or, y'know, really anything from this set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rachaelnoel/sets/283583/

    Or.... not.

    As soon as my laptop gets back from japan with my drawing programs I plan on hopping in here again... But should anyone feel the want in the meantime I know Magenta would be stoked to be illustrated as well:

    Hi, I'm new. I am a pretty much awful artist but I thought it was only fair to have a go at something before posting pictures so...

    Sensible:

    And very silly:

    Much appreciation in advance if anybody does care to draw me.

    Welcome, Morgana, thanks for the photo fodder and drawing.
    One question though: how the hell do you make your mouth do that thing? It looks like you've disconnect your upper jaw!

    @Morgana - Awesome! Thank you! I love it. I also love your jaw thing that Paul Sizer mentioned.

    @Rachael, thank you, it's my favourite!
    @Paul - I actually have no idea. I think sometimes when a camera is pointed at me my face is possessed by some unholy face-possessing thing which makes it do strange things like in that picture there.

    And @ilauveyou, I'm glad you like the picture :)
