    What're you listening to?

New week's releases are up at http://www.piccadillyrecords.com on Monday morning - just choose a genre from left and click "magic mix" to stream excerpts from the new releases.

Ariana usually swings by Largehearted Boy's Try it before you buy it posts on Tuesday mornings, too.

    Commence playlist speakage.

Over the last seven days I have apparently been listening to:

    Anduin
    Neu!
    Xela

    Ida Maria
    Hobo Cubes

    Oakenfold - Perfecto Las Vegas

    Zero 7 - Yeah Ghost
    Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
    Can - Tago Mago
    Mogwai - Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait
First Signs of the Aftermath (a great spaz-rocky mathy Nottingham band that may be getting back together soon after a year of inactivity... and I may even get to join them!)

Lots of Soundgarden today, hot on the heels of rumours of a reunion.

    Boomkat's Best of 2009 compilation.
    All 9 hours of it.

    Zelienople - Give It Up.
Had this for ages but ignored until last night. Vast improvement over previous Type release. Xela\Grouper\Deaf Center hybrid - i.e. Ambient buzz with vaguely audible vocal drifting over it. Shoegazer-fare.

    Laura Veirs - Carbon Glacier
In anticipation of new album July Flame coming out next week.

    Ihsahn - AngL
Mostly because it's an immense album, but also because he's got a new album out Jan 21 as well. Called 'After' apparently.
