Listening to a new demo song credited to "M. Gira/Swans" on http://www.myspace.com/swansaredead (which has just changed its name from "Swans are dead" to "Swans are not dead") - a new Swans album in 2010 would make my year
I've been listening to LaGrecia-On Parallels (I found it again in my iTunes library.) Crime In Stereo-the Troubled Stateside, Is Dead, Love, Explosives And the Will To Use Them and Selective Wreckage (In advance of an interview I'm doing with them, so I'm going back to their music.) Nina Simone-the Very Best Nina Simone (When did my parents buy Nina Simone?) World/Inferno Friendship Society-Addicted To Bad Ideas (A lovely record for aspirational miscreants.)
Been listening to the new Bird From the Abyss, over and over again. It's good. Not sure if it's not as good as I, or if it's just a matter of I being perfect, but I find by playing I before II, I get something greater than the sum of it's parts. The limited edition packaging is quite beautiful, too.
THIS is downright amazing. It... just... just click. It is fucking hilarious. The "band" is called "jud-jud" and the description on their myspace is "jud jud jud... jud jud whaaa... judd-judd."
