Amazing. I always forget what Friday means and then I check warrenellisdotcom and am delighted like a non-denominational kid at christmas. I was glad that 'Kady was quick enough, but I knew there would be a price for her swiftness as soon as I saw the teleport. Excellent episode, love it as always.
Either Arkady's gone, or KK will pull her up, right? What if this crisis causes KK to discover her own teleporting skills, like a mother lifting a car after a crash to save her child?
Warren's laughing response re the 2.6 seconds comment really has me wondering now. Are we in for an 8-page ep covering the next 10 years in the FA's lives all at once? Or, will the first panel of ep 85 read: "Ten Years Later . . ." ?
Oh dear. You seem to have successfully moved us from one cliffhanger to another. Good job, sir.
Also, I'm aware that it probably wasn't the intent of the drawing, but my first thought on Page 1, Panel 3, was "Man, she's got nice breasts." Kudos to you, Mr. Duffield.
My week... On Monday, I felt it should be Friday. I felt this very strongly. I think that captures how my week has been. (Well, no, it doesn't include how I was a week behind on classwork and seem to have successfully caught up, which is something to be proud about.)
Fuuuuuck! Panel 3 just became the no 1 exemplar of comicwork that blows me away. Absolutely stunning graphics and currently one of the most gripping storylines around; who could ask for more?!
Interesting week this one. Acquired a dog (after friends moved overseas). Very cute but jeez, ease off on the 5 am barking alarm call for the love of any deity you care to name ... Went to a seminar on string theory that got me thinking about That Stuff again. And off to see son 'n heir this weekend and maybe take in A Prophet.
But I already KNEW 'Kady would save KK that way (aside from getting knocked out by KK's thick head and maybe drowning). I want to see Kait and Mark's last dance.
Oh, and the underwater scenes? Always my favourites :) Nicely done!
@draxxx - Oh yeah I love that book. 'Sabout an alcoholic baseball player, innit? 8-O
@Warren - We are securely on the hook, dammit. You can take your time reeling us in, you sadistic bastard. X-D
@Paul - I have never ...but NEver, seen rain used so dynamically in a visual narrative, as you have employed it in this sequence. It is practically a character unto itself. EPIC WIN! :-)
One of these days I'll have something other than praise to write, but until then, lovely.
However, let me humbly beg you not to heed that request. The pacing is part of what makes me love this format, as I've said from the beginning. Waiting for it like a floppy would be frustrating. One feels far more involved with the story if it is available once a week, and (while the last few installments don't support this) you don't have to pack each episode with action to keep people interested... thus the wonderful character and story development.
I am quite satisfied with my 2.6 second dosage, as long as it's there for me at the end of each week. Thank you.
