In an effort to distract people ( and myself ) from our unfinished ep , and the incomplete work for texture , decided to digitally release ( for free ) an old album that some of you may already have. It also includes some stuff from Warren's mighty 4am , but some tracks may be new to some of you . Enjoy ! Here's the release notes and link.....there's more notes on each track included in the zipfile.

First Season , a digital ( 320kbps mp3) edition of the rare , handspun 2008 Kemper Norton Collective album Season One , is available, absolutely for free , here . You can donate any amount if you feel like it.

Those fortunate very few who purchased the original (and very rare ) CD and are feeling less superior and cheapened by this digital giveaway can be reassured by the fact that this digital edition is slightly different. So you can still feel special.

Those fortunates who can now download this special digital edition and are feeling less
cutting-edge than the cool cats who bought the original CD can be reassured by the fact that this digital edition is slightly different. So you can still feel special.

Everybody is welcome to drop in,download the other eps and drop us a line at

    All the best

    kemper xx

Thanks everyone! This is an amazing online community with lots of talent. At first I thought it would be just writers/artists, but our musician community is truly top-notch.

no weird instruments today, still a few extra ones on the blog though.

I've unearthed the first album I wrote back in 2003 that I had lost for many years due to hard drive explosions. It's an odd ambienty experiment using just the crappy bass guitar I had at the time. This was my first efforts in recording/writing/mixing.

I am quite certain there are no WC'ers within 40 miles of this (in Sebastopol, CA) gig but:

    @Offtandischord cool!
This feels a bit spammy, as I've only posted on here a few times, but one of my main reasons for being here is the music threads... I co-run Little Rock Records, producing a variety of dub-inflected tunes, and MCing far less than I'd like. Here's a few tracks via my soundcloud.
Dr. nojoke ft Kid Ritalin - Sublimacy - hip-hop-ish, a collaboration based on a shared fascination with hauntology and post-modernism. Contains cringing freakangels reference.
    Junk Yard - Dub-techno stuff...
Tunguska valley - more dubsteppy beats....

Two EPs should be out soon on Little Rock, and I've a collab with @texture due at some point sometime...
Feedback would be much appreciated, really looking forward to ploughing my way through the above links.

I (as in Mild Maynyrd) finally completed my Biggie Smalls remix album. I'm calling it "MM vs. BIG". The idea was to mix the off-kilter beats I craft with the straight-up gangster raps of a dude like the Notorious B.I.G. I was pleased with the final product. Free to download, of course.

    This is the link.

    This is the cover:

I've just done a mega mix using samples from the first album I threw up on iTunes ahead of the release of a new album next week.

The mega mix can be downloaded for free by right clicking HERE

For your delectation, a link to the soundcloud for my Pendulum album released back in 2006.

If you dig people like Philip Jeck, Rapoon or Zoviet France this may be right up your boulevard.

Erg, I kinda posted my music stuff in with my hello, since I tend to define myself by what I make...

But what the who-haw, here it is in the relevant section:

I have been writing experimental electronic music (sorta Industrial/IDM) for about a decade and been self publishing it under the handle IRON IMP since 2004 at:

I've presently got 3 free full length albums available for download, 1 music video and some virtual instrument plugins I made. Music has been very rewarding, but I'd like to devote my focus to pursuing video work.

This is my first and only music video, to date. Stop motion animated in Photo shop + Premiere. Took 2 years to assemble (not including writing the music).
This video is about 95% original artwork, hand-sketched, digital and photographed. At points it features me (briefly) and ends with my personal logo/sigil/symbol/icon.

I posted this in a Saturday Night Open Mic thread a few weeks ago but figured I'd post it here as well.

I'm in a Nottingham band called First Signs Of The Aftermath. They were once a three-piece, but went on a hiatus and have since reformed with me on lead guitar. We're a mathy proggy heavy mashup of a band. Right now we're in hiding writing songs and getting me up to speed with their old material.

This is Knights of the Golden Shower:

am very much liking that video! Nottingham always throws up some awesome music...

Thanks man! If you're looking for more Nottingham stuff I'd recommend (if you haven't heard them already, of course) Alright the Captain and ...And Stars Collide (who REALLY need to put their album material online because it is disgustingly heavy and amazing).

Nice. That kind of thing is my cup o' tea. Do you like Upsilon Acrux, Volta Do Mar, etc.?
