My band Deathline is playing a gig at The Good Ship in Kilburn, London tomorrow night (Tues 23rd). Onstage 9.30pm, a measly £4 to enter for four bands. BARGAIN.
Come and have your ears bled by us and headliners Guild of Stags who are enigmatically described as "Old school Anglo Dutch rocknroll machine."
We have some dead stock of our debut album left to give away, though we'll mainly be playing stuff from our forthcoming second.
As there seem to be a couple of people here who dig Red State Soundsystem...you can download a new(ish) track called "At Least Sometimes" that we dropped a month or two ago. It's very different from our Ghosts In A Burning City album; we're doing an EP called Indie Rock Is Easy and this is the first track off of it.
I'd be curious to hear Whitechapel peoples' opinions on it. It was originally meant to be a piss-take, but I really love the song, actually; I think it's got some of my favorite lyrics I've ever written.
Apparently, The British Columbians' show we did for CBC's Canada Live on Radio 2 was supposed to be aired tonight at 7pm (or so i was told), but i listened at seven and didn't hear it... but this link is to the streaming pod cast that has even the bad takes available to listen...
Hey all, I produce drum and bass, dubstep, and whatever the hell else I feel like working on. On my soundcloud I've been doing a song of the week thing, along with that I post mixes every now and then and previews of more serious stuff. The song of the week is pretty much just a creative dump for all the ideas that don't fit in with the other stuff I'm working on.
I wanted to share this one with you guys. Its my brother's band out of Louisiana, Black Market Ministry. After 5 years of playing together they are on Leaf Lust Records with their album Voices of the coming plague. Hope you enjoy them.
My aforementioned band Brothers Horse is playing a Battle of The Bands fundraiser for the 2010 Haight Ashbury Street Faire at the Paradise Lounge in SF, CA, USA on Thursday April 1st. 9PM. $7. We would of course appreciate it if any Whitechapelers in the area who are inclined to, come out and support us. We play at 11PM...which may be a deal breaker for peeps who have to get up in the AM. Battle of the Bands are silly, I know...
Currently writing two new eps ( ETA next month ) , nagging/threatening Stuart Maconie to play our stuff on his soon-to-be-lost Freakzone on Radio 6, and in the initial stages of organising some kind of gig thing. Very initial stages. Still working on the costumes the underlings will be forced to wear.
My band The Secretions (80s style pop punk) is going on a west coast tour (CA,AZ,OR, ID,NV) in July with Bastards Of Young (also from Sacramento). More city-specific info here.
