    It's Friday, and you know what that means.

    Morning, Whitechapel. Feeling physically better this week... just in time for a tsunami of work to slam into town. I'm probably going to live, it's just not pretty. How's the rest of us?

    Ah Friday, how I love thee.

    Life is good. I actually managed a healthy amount of sleep last night after a fortnight of waking up way too early, then being unable to nod off again. I plan on buying some decent booze this weekend, getting sufficiently drunk with the girlfriend, eating awesome food and watching a movie.

    Nice to hear you're feeling a bit better Ariana.

    Hi there, Ariana. Glad you've gained back some strength enough to deal with the workload. My workload started over the weekend and finally began to let up last night. I could actually sleep (I almost forgot what it was like)!

    Great FreakAngels today! Love the last page. Love the dissolving katana, layer by layer. But is Alice going to die? Tell it to me straight, doc. That gun must have made quite a noise, and I'll wager Luke heard it and is about to stop/reverse that bullet. Oh, I can't look! (wait, yes I can!)

    I can't really see our resident Lawful Neutral selling out the rest of the family to Groo the Warlock here but I guess I can understand how his vision of a telepathically enslaved subject population would mean less street crime.

    so do we reckon Kait's right? - The only sleeper drones are from the refugee intake? I mean, i don't think we've seen any unexplained surgical scars on any other 'kAngels...

    Just got back from an art opening with nothing to eat but stinky foot cheese and nowhere to sit. Apart from that I'm good.

    Think Kait is still in trouble - good as she is with swords, I think Mark is still powerful and deeply damaged.

    There's something brewing with Karl and Kirk too,

    Every Friday, my response is the same - "What a great episode, what comes next?". Maybe Warren and Paul should do a rubbish one, just for variety...

    Mark has become very creepy in his casual use of other sentients.
    How much of what we see of him is actually only a projection- so we only see what we're supposed to?

    Poor fookin' Alice. Her heart is in the right place but I fear her abilities are not. Maybe she'll get lucky.

    Glad you're feeling better, Ariana! Things are good around here. It's my personal work-Monday, so after we go to the gym and I teach school to my kids, I go to work this afternoon. Also, it's snowing here, but we shouldn't get too much accumulation.

    Things looking bleak in the Ohio valley. Calling for up to ten inches of snow in the next couple of hours. Time to settle in and get comfy, I suppose.

    Loved it. Loved the deconstructed sword, loved Mark's sinister dialogue, hoping I'll get to love the moment when Alice isn't horribly mauled by Luke. She shoulda given him both barrells...

    My week has been pretty good, romantic intrigue has more than balanced out the not inconsiderable amount of backtalk and ballache. Forecast for the weekend? More romance, less ballache. This is good.

    Kinda chilly and grey in the GTA today.
    Doing lot's of ultra-violent drawings to do today, which is an odd (nice?) switch from the usual fare proffered by my day job.

    Someday, years from now, everyone is going to read the last page of this grand tale, and the complete system shock of not being left hanging is going to kill dozens. In the meantime, I think someone clever needs to be ready to fill that Friday morning void in the lives of the survivors.

    Ariana, it's good to see you getting back to peak ruthlessness. Up here in the Mini-Apple we all woke up under another fresh blanket of fluffy human killing powder. This is apparently going to go on for the next week or so - so that's my birthday present from God. Thanks, G.

    The sword melting panel was just ace! I felt all fluttery inside as the pages turned.

    I have some how managed to be asked to photograph 3 weddings this year, despite never having done it before (all requests have come in the last few weeks). This is both amazing (as they've asked purely on my photographic style/work) and terrifying. Gotta get some people photography practice in!

    The sword was awesome, but I'm not in the biggest hurry to discount Mark's ability to hang with the conversation he's suddenly swordless in. We haven't seen him react yet. Might be some impressive Put-The-Shit-Back-Together action about to go down.

    I find it really interesting how Karl is asking Connor to 'record' him as he tries changing the weather. Almost like a spotter on a balance beam of sorts.
