I know, I know! Yes, it's a skip week -- but there's pretty new stuff!

My iPod Shuffle (gen2) died last night, so it looks like I'm in the market for a new ultra-portable mp3 solution (Clip-and-go tiny == win). And fuck if I'm gonna buy a brick that requires proprietary headphones to function, so the new Shuffle is right out, bah. It's elec-karmic balance, likely -- Warren finally broke down and bought an iPhone, so the last bit of Apple tech I loved had to die. How's everyone else today? Has it been a tech failure week, or wassat just me?

I really, really hope there are still bags left when I get paid! WANT!

Has it been a tech failure week, or wassat just me?

Yeah, for me too: had to de-virus-ify sixteen PCs and thirty two external drives at work yesterday. Took aaaages. Think I triumphed, but it has also buggered my laptop's soundcard somehow. Fail.

Apart from that though, what an awesome week! I'm happier than I have been in months.

As a proud owner of one of the bags, I can attest to their awesomeness.

I don't remember anytime you use the word fuck when Warren's around. Behave!

I'm on holiday for a fortnight and am painting my kitchen (which is next to my veranda) chocolate brown, bright pink and bleu turquoise. Tell me about tech failure!

I hope you're enjoying that skip week you good people of Whitechapel.

Ariana, we all know you almost invented that word. I couldn't help.

We'll just have to wait till next Friday, then...

Sorry to hear about the untimely demise of your portable music - I'd be truly buggered (for a visual aid of the scale of buggery involved, think "Deliverance") if mine gave out, because I don't have the money to buy me another one. Or the money to buy any of that nifty looking Freakangels merch, for that matter.

Speaking of which, will there be any more olive field bags with the FA logo on them in the future? Because the first batch has been sold out since Noah was a little boy for a long time now and I don't really like the black ones.

    Skip week.

    Oh.

    Mustn't cry... mustn't cry.

Tech fail week? My LIFE is a tech fail. Everything I touch seems to break, or degrade. Current list is wi fi in the study, ground loops, d-ring not working on phone, big scratch in laptop, Les Paul with an untracable wiring fault, speaker cables intermittently fucked, DVD player, PC won't resume from hibernation, PC won't shut down unless plug is pulled, TV on the blink, landline phone intermittently screwed... Tech HATES me.

I thought we were due for a skip. No bad thing, all concerned deserve a break!

It seems every week in my current job is subject to some kind of tech fail. and this one is no exception. But hey, it's Friday, I have spent a lot of the week fawning over an awesome lady I have met, seen the amazing British Sea Power live, and am heading to London to see my oldest and best friend tonight. So, y'know, I'm good.

Tech fail? Not really. I mean, I probably haven't turned my phone on in a week, but that's because the battery's dead and I'm not sure where the charger is.

Come to think of it, this is around-abouts when I've been expecting a call for more work. I should get that phone charged. (To say nothing of talking with my mother!)

This week has been marked by the steady struggle of getting back on top of all my homework for college. Why has it been a struggle? Because I'm a lazy bum.

If I had money, I would be slightly more excited about the merchandise, but I examined my finances last night and affirmed my policy of "Just don't spend anything you don't have to." Someday, I will get another paycheck. Someday.

    Arrgh!

Guess I knew it was coming... As for tech fail we lost our network for nearly half an hour earlier in the week cause some fuckwit had looped a network cable between two live network sockets.

no new FA this week...sad life.

I am a believer in KISS and therefore limit the amount of technology I'm exposed to. no crackberries for me, thanks.

I love how many of Ariana's use of the word "fuck" (and it's closely related neighbor, "clusterfuck") are when she's in the process of pushing the Big Red Button. It's like smoking and driving for some people: when you do one, you do the other.

Anyway, the coffers are overflowing thanks to an influx of tax money, but I don't think any of it is going to get a bag. Sadly. Mostly for tech fuckup reasons, as the wife needs a computer that doesn't randomly crash because its hardware doesn't know what it's doing anymore.

Trying to be rational about things, i patiently explain to myself that Messrs Ellis and Duffield are not machines and their entire lives do not revolve exclusively around FreakAngels . It is only to be expected that they may need a break from time to time. My initial reaction, after spending half an hour or so rabidly checking the site for the latest update, was less rational and is posted at the end of the 0085 thread.

As for tech failure, everything seems to be working nicely - except for me. I can live with that for the time being.

I'd like to second @wings_of_wrath's request for the return of the olive bags. I'd like to third and fourth those votes, actually.

All is well - four day weekend for our company, which means at least two days of me being able to finally get some work done without being harassed by anyone (except our overseas folks, who aren't numerous enough to really prevent me from getting anything useful done).

Now I've gotta go to work with an empty skull. Drats. So I guess I'll go read the back of my cereal box for the next hour or so.
