Yeah, for me too: had to de-virus-ify sixteen PCs and thirty two external drives at work yesterday. Took aaaages. Think I triumphed, but it has also buggered my laptop's soundcard somehow. Fail.

Anyway, I was supposed to go somewhere and I didn't want to be listening on a single earphone, so I had a rather odd, but effective idea - I rummaged through the electrical odds and ends box I have at home, got hold of an audio splitter (one audio jack on one end and two audio jack inputs at the other end) and plugged in both sets of earphones. I had an e280 a few years ago and it was great: small size, good price, microSD card for expansion, battery lasted a long time, you're not locked into using iTunes or any other software, etc.

But, yeah, there are quite a few reviews for the newer ones where people complain about software glitches, random powering on and off, etc. It may still be worth investigating though.
