    I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
    <a target="_blank" href="http://www.renesys.com/blog/2008/01/mediterranean_cable_break.shtml">Two undersea cable systems near Egypt were cut somewhere north of Alexandria</a>, resulting in basically no internet for most of the Middle East. At least twelve countries are pretty seriously affected and it might take weeks to fix it. That's the version I read anyway.

    As far as I know there are no Scientologists in the Middle East, so conspiracy theories about why the internet died there might probably take a more conventional form.

    Maybe it was Cobra Commader?
