It's not your time yet Arkady.
Of course there's no clue in that yet.

I've benn in Brussels, great lively town, one of the most creative in Europe and one of the capitals of European Comics. Fucked my memory even more with Belgian beers and chocolate thingies to die for.
I wish a beautiful week end to each and everyone of youz.

Oh Shit! Oh shit oh shit oh shit . . . !!

Got our tax returns back this morning, so a nice dinner tonight or tomorrow, and paying off the accumulated bills, paying for my wedding band, etc.

Shame I have to work 11 hours tomorrow, but considering the chill schedule I'm usually on, one Saturday now and then won't hurt at all.

I love it. No, Luke, it's just your charm and grace that makes the girls want you so bad.

"Wingbeats"... so one day we'll see them with actual wings? I'm betting KK's are made of leather.

Maybe page 5 explains why Mark looks so shocked/out of it on page 1? Perhaps he's not shocked/out of it at all, he's just really concentrating on helping Arkady? Just a theory.
  2.  (7760.25)
    ...whoa...

I really don't think Mark is helping Arkady, not sure what to think about him actually. Kait's making assumptions about what he's thinking and I'm thinking that's a bad thing to do with such an unknown variable. That's a lot of thinking for this hour of the morning, so that's enough of that.

New question: If Mark reveals himself to everyone else (except for Alice who would go completely postal on him for killing her brothers), do you think any of the FA would kill him on sight? Why or why not? Circle A, B, C, D or All of the above. (sorry, lack of sleep/early morning leads to ridiculousness)

Bah, I think they’re all grinding along to the revelations of Internet Jesus. But seriously, great stuff.

    Wingbeats?

I have to get some test done as the old pains are back. I am trying to be positive but this may be my 4th bout with this blackness and I am tired.

Good episode, just the tonic I needed.

It's not been a terrible week. I finally tracked down my ex-wife and got her to sign some papers, so now my ex-employer will give me my retirement money, so soon I won't have to share a dish with the cats. Yay for nominally human food! And I've had some very tentative interest in a couple of writing projects, so perhaps they will turn into actual income soon.

Did anyone else notice that there were twelve figures in Arkady's vision? I was able to recognize a couple of the figures by their hair outlines. I noticed Caz and Kait, at least.

I'm pretty sure one of them was Luke, at least in his past, suit-and-a-skinny-tie version.

Regardless, very good this week. I think Kait and Mark conversing may lead to Very Bad Things, but I'm not really sure what. However, I'm going to guess that Kait's going to wrangle her way through Mark's shield so everyone else can hear. Might be a good idea.

And I think Alice's hunter instinct kicking in is probably a Very Bad Thing for Luke.

Art-wise, I really liked page six. Paul's textures, especially with water, are always so interesting. And KK's face when Arkady wakes up is priceless.

As for the week, not much to report. Fought with Bank of America on my credit card payment, and that's about it.

I'm feeling stupid now. My first thought on seeing the outlines was "is that the gang?", followed by me going "nah, there's way too many of them" without actually taking the time to count and/or remember how many Freakangels there actually are.

I love that Kait turned aside Mark's psychological manipulation so easily. Took control of the situation rather nicely. Her comment about them practising with the package was interesting, I wonder how accurate it is. I know Arkady, Luke, and Kait have, but who else?

In Arkady's vision, it was pretty clear, by the sillouhettes of all the FA that have hair, that she was seeing the FreakAngels on the top of the tower. Does that mean it was in any way really them? It was a vision, who says it wasn't just the image chosen by her own mind, or whomever else is helping her (if anyone)? Yes, it was the FA, but I wouldn't attempt to read too much into it yet.

Not what I expected for this week, but not disappointing. Lovely in fact, thanks folks.

You're assuming that Kait has turned aside the manipulation. Maybe the reason he's looking a bit out of it is not because he's helping Arkady, but because he's in the middle of surgery.

^That was my assumption, yeah. Didn't Mark mention that Kait wouldn't even realise she was helping him?

Blinding episode, the frame of Arkady floating in the depths was beautiful, only to then be trumped by a gorgeous and unexpected vision of the future (?)

Busy busy busy is pretty damn on the nail actually, but for all the right reasons - I seem to have met someone rather wonderful, which makes being back home for a weekend with the family slightly bittersweet when I could be seeing her instead. Ah well, I'm sure some food and ales with the old man and a selection of cousins will soon set me right.

The geniuses are always misunderstood, that’s why no one likes you Luke.

@Purple Wyrm - Ah maybe that's why I came up with that theory. I reread vol.1 and 2 last week and it must have
I had more time to think about my theory while on the bus to college and my theory is: when they 'punched the world', they shared their minds in a whole new level. Maybe they wired between themselves and created a collective sentient mind.
Also, we usually don't see Arkady teleporting. She's there and then she isn't. So, why is there a purple flame-thing in the last panel? Or am I seeing things?
    Just my 2 cents.

We've not seen her do it underwater before. Also, did anyone else notice that the bleeding wound on her head is gone after her 'upgrade'?

    @rickiep00h

    Made sense to me.

Personally, I'm worried about Alice. I don't know exactly what Luke can do, but it seems to be indicated that he is a more powerful Freakangel than most of the others. The rest of the gang seemed to be pretty good at deflecting bullets in previous issues, and now that he knows she's after him, he probably has time to prepare something.

Also, I have no idea what is going to happen between Mark and Kait, but as previous posters have suggested, this is probably not going to end well.

Alice is going to club Luke like a baby seal. The cute ones. I can only feel she's playing him like B'rer Rabbit.

And I think any 'bad' players should be shaking in fear from 'Kady ...
