Always love the chance to reimagine or redesign a classic character and it doesn't get more classic that Supes. Still some finishing touches I'd like to put on this but I wanted to get this thing up before it got too late!

So I thought: Okay, despite my lack of actual design skills, how would I actually approach this as a designer? So I've got the red S on the blue, and someone named Superman, but I don't know anything else. Better not contradict anything in the book!
Just to prove that I lack proper design skills, I realize now that the image is done that the logo kinda messes up the picture. I should've moved it a bit more towards the horizontal center of the image, and made it less slanted, among other stuff. Oh well!
Sorry about how poorly this shows up. I don't have a scanner, so I took a photo.
The tagline, "THE COMPLETE STORY OF THE DARING EXPLOITS OF THE ONE AND ONLY SUPERMAN," is repeated across the buildings, but I doubt if you can make it out.
Humbly tossing my little doodle into the cluster of mind-blowing entries.
It's impossible to pick a favorite, but Rooth's and Alejandro Bruzzese's covers have especially won me over. I didn't think one thread could contain so much pure awesome.
I thought it’d be fun to go a bit more spiritual with the new Supes instead of all muscle and boy scout morals. A ‘super’ man would try to rise above violence and the black & white vision of good and evil. He would search for ballance, knowledge and respect in life, despite being able to kick anyone's ass. Like a supercharged Dalai Lama I would imagine.
Coming back a couple of hours later and looking at my previous submission, the colors were just really ugly. So here, have a version I'm somewhat more happy with.
@catafracture Am I the only one that though Space-Cop Superman was masturbating onto planet Earth from the bow of some great spaceship? Yikes. My brain is bad news.
This thread is amazing. I can't wait for next week.
@All: My head is so swollen I will likely never wear hats again ;)
You have MODOK'd me! with your kind words and generosity.
A real honour to post along side of you all... I don't think I can pick a favourite- this thing has been hot since the first post and the talent all around is just staggering.
I don't want to sound like a sap (too late!) but I owe a lot to the BossMan and the incredibly supportive community here at WC, much more than I can possibly write down or express here. I have been working as an illustrator/comic artist full time for well over a decade now, but these R/R challenges are the only place where I make Art. This thread was particularly special and challenging, bringing out the best of everyone.
