@tnperkins - I must echo Ginja here- very good! I really like that stressed/aged textured look. Great character.

@Jorell- nice! I love the scratchy line quality and colour palette.

Wish I had time to letter the logo myself, but not this week. Not all exploits are good.

Thanks MementoMori and Robb, I figure it'd be a 6 issue mini series about some sort of 'Captain America' esque super soldier sent on a peacekeeping mission that's gone badly wrong.

I can't believe the awesome quality of this thread, everything in here is absolutely top notch.

Jorell - that is some high-quality blaxploitation. If that was a film I'd watch the shit out of it.

    CvS Superman Remodel 001

A bit rushed. I just learned about this challenge today. I honestly believe I could do a much more polished and professional job on this, but I figure you'll get the gist here.

Found this page from the Scifiwire article. Lots of cool and interesting concepts on display here. Thought I'd have a go at one - mostly for the fun of it.

@Alan. Thanks. I wanted the character to look simple and the S design seemed to fit.

I was actually hesitant to even post it with everyone bringing out their A games.

Q comes in late with a blinder.

The thread's reached a critical mass, and is now dragging in participants from everywhere with its self-sustaining powers of awesomeness.

It's Saturday night and the party is still going strong. Everyone contributing has made this week's web browsing fantastic, with something new and wonderful to look at every time I've hopped online. If I saw these covers in my local comic store I'd be broke in about five minutes, and require a forklift to get it all home.

I had an idea for an image... and then it became a bit of a nightmare... and then I had to do it.
    Complete Story... Superman

Edit: Needed a stronger type treatment.

@JSween - Host the image at Flickr or and then link to there. DeviantArt doesn't like 3rd party linking.
