For a few weeks, we're going to try something a little different in the REMAKE/REMODEL space.

This one is vastly more difficult than last week's, I think.

    Usual REMAKE/REMODEL rules apply:

No pen-portraits. This is ART ONLY. Posting just a bunch of text, or a scribble and a vast number of words, will get the thread closed and your account banned.

NO MORE PHOTO-MANIPULATION "art". I'll just delete them. People have been drenching recent threads with several pieces at a time that they've knocked out in photoshop in 2 minutes with no thought at all. I consider this to be taking the piss now.

No more than TWO submissions by any one person in any one REMAKE/REMODEL.

This time, I am cheating more than usual.

    So here's the deal:

You are an artist/designer. You have to put together the cover for issue 15 of a comic called AMAZING ADULT FANTASY.

Now, the publisher has decreed that, with #15, the title will become simply AMAZING FANTASY. But, I dunno, you're a drunk, or a drug fiend, or you have seizures or something, and you've totally forgotten about that. AMAZING ADULT FANTASY it is.

Thing is, there's a new character to be introduced on the cover. You remember that instruction. But you lost all the notes and pages -- you used them for bedding or toilet paper, you don't really recall. You know nothing about that character beyond its name, and that it apparently fits in a book called AMAZING ADULT FANTASY (which was once subtitled "The magazine that respects your intelligence").

All you know that is the title is AMAZING ADULT FANTASY, the issue number is 15, and there has to be a character called SPIDER-MAN on the cover somewhere.

    And that's it.

It's up to you what kind of company you're at. What kind of comics you make. What era you're in. Who you are, even. Go nuts with it.

    You have one week. Go.

Oh, man. This will go down in flames with that premise.

Go down in flames like a phoenix maybe. I'm looking forward to this in a big way.

If I finish thesis work, this is so fucking happening.

Oh... fuck! I've got three left hands, and even I might want to draw something. This is gonna be the best thing on the internet ever. At least.

I feel like this has no choice but to end up as a porn magazine...

@frequentcontributor good call! I must immediately get on with some research. Alert the coast guard.

I just think of Spider-Man as in the sex act my flatmate at the time once professed a desire to do at least one time in his life, particularly with the title "Amazing Adult Fantasy".

I had a feeling it was going to either be Spidey or The Fantastic Four this week.

A bit predictable, after DC, Marvel had to get the axe, too...
This is going to be absolute bollocks, let's rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking Fisherman's Daughter with a giant spider. I don't think I have the nerve to draw something like that.

I knew you were gonna throw this one in the mix.

Oh this one will end up as the stuff of legends. In which circles they will circulate, I don't want to speculate...

It's hard to stray from that ADULT on the title... Hope you like.

If you hate me for this one, I assure you I hate myself far, far more.

@ Sobreiro: Talk about well-worn! Like some spider-affectionado got some serious mileage out of it. Nice touch. I like the colors a lot. Hats off to you for being the first to kick this monster off.
