@ paul sizer- love it man, its so clean and fresh looking and i love how its the same pose from the old spider-man and the lil webs on his tie, great job, my fav so far
Argh so many ideas in my brains, so very little talent... Skimming amazing images. Sadly I'm rather arachnaphobic so some of the pages made close the browser right quick and try to breathe to bring down the panic. But many, many of the images so far have been breathtaking due to excepetional quality. Bravo!
leighwoosey: Hell, I'd pick that up for a thumb-through. I like the X-ray image.
Lance Sells: Jeez. Looks like a cover for something from the Criterion collection. Lovely, and I really like the "Spider-Man" text hanging in the middle.
Sizer: I like the text box about how killing your boss will make all your dreams come true.
Berserker: You're right, I totally missed the classic pose. I think it's because he's riding a giant spider, though... That one extra element hides the obvious.
Not an artist, at all. Just a devotee at the altar of remodeling genius that is the entire Whitechapel Remake/model series thus far. So I'd like to make a request of the more artistically inclined for some SpiderMAN pinups. All sultry, mostly naked, muscled, shooting webs, and/or tattoo of a spider in that hollow where bone meets flesh at the hip.
That said, I love what Sobreiro started us off with. Brendan McGinley's pulp cover is def. going to be giving me nightmares sometime soon. Reminds me of staying up late to watch episodes of Tales from the Crypt, and totally getting the shit scared out of me, like I deserved. Paul Sizer, sir, your artwork is frakkin' awesome, as always.
Love the covers that incorporated fantasy in the swords and sorceresses sense.
These are all awesome as usual but I have a huge fear of spiders and have been scrolling through the submissions timidly, through the crooks of my fingers, with one finger on the escape key! Not sure how much more I can take of the creepy, crawling, furry (oh god, how I hate the furry ones), fanged monsters! You guys are freakin' me out and part of me wants to encourage you to keep it up... the other part wants to stand on a chair with a broom and a can of raid.
