    @nigredo -
Thanks. Oddly enough, one caller took issue with the Soul Coughing to Gorillaz section, "I just want to let you guys know that you're losing it right now" was the message he left.

Not as funny as the time a few years ago when I was called "despicable" by a drunken middle-aged woman (thank you caller ID in a small town) for refusing to play "some modern music like Britny Spears"

shit, i want them them to re-press this soooooo badly. 3x12" goes for way too much $$$

@joe.distort: While they're at it, they should re-release "The Aeroplane Flies High" box set, or at least cull some stuff off it. There's enough good material there for another album. Also, possibly make the "Machina II" stuff easier to find at good quality. I need to re-download it.

Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses
Flipper - Album - Generic Flipper
Darcy Clay - Songs for Beethoven
    Ghost - Hypnotic Underworld
Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco's The Cool
Machine Head - The More Things Change
Bob Marley & the Wailers - Exodus
    Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
    Pearl Jam - Ten
The Postal Service - Give Up
    Russian Circles - Enter
    Four Tet - Rounds
The Mountain Goats - Babylon Springs E.P.
    The Mountain Goats - Tallahassee
    Neurosis & Jarboe - Neurosis & Jarboe
    Tool - Ænima
    Tomahawk - Anonymous
Refused - Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent

    Now playing: Opeth - Damnation

    @Brent Wilcox
Perhaps you should devote an entire show to "modern" music, see what happens :)

    np:

Fourtet - There is Love in You

I am totally loving this EP. It's a pay-what-you-want DL. A heavy soundclash of drum&bass, metal, techno, ska, and hip-hop!

BIT RIOT / FROM THE CRADLE TO THE RAVE
  4.  (7880.30)
um, that sounds VERY interesting. i love some fucked up electronic metal/punk...i hope that its actually good though!

i was gonna do something dumb yesterday like only listen to green vinyl. thankfully i didnt really have time to waste on crap, so the only record i got around to was DYNAMITE WITH A LASERBEAM-QUEEN AS PUT THROUGH THE MEAT GRINDER OF 31G RECORDS. and even that is on pink.

    Laura Marling : I speak because I can. She's a bit handy.

Still on the latest Four Tet. Thought it was too smooth at first but now I like. Reminds me of how good Orbital were at emotive melodies over simple 4 to the floor beats. And he does wield
a nice palette of bells and guitars.

Today I listened to the new Heidevolk (Danish folk Metal) for the 1st time and am quite happy with it, living completely up my expectations.

Earlier on the recommendation of an old friend I listened to Hocico - Untold Blapshemies, industrial from Mexico...kinda reminded me of KMFDM, I liked, will have to check out more.

And being Friday, very Friday for months now I listen to an Iron Maiden album, today it was Killers.

Oh and I listened to the first Agalloch album, Pale Folklore this morning.

Right now I am going to listen to the new Shining (Norway) Blackjazz, fucking nuts album.
