Although it has been relatively benign so far. I'm keeping my eye bleach handy. I tremble in fear of what will crawl out of the Whitechapel collective subconscious.
My idea was to try doing something that might appeal to young girls using actual superheroes. Haha. Twilight of the Superheroes! Indeed! Why not have some love stories that replace vampires with superheroes... maybe it would get some more ladies reading comics? There's also a Romeo & Juliet vibe I suppose, with the rival super hero "Houses"... and the Marvel family are magic based, and the Super Clan is adverse to magic. Or something.
The "hard core" variant has her making out with Superboy, who I assume is her younger cousin from the future. Naughty. But I'm not up on the latest Supergirl backstory - she could be a Superman clone sent back from Super Future Crisis and raised to live as a girl to protect her identity from Chronal Banditos for all I know.
I know I've said some harsh things about design text in the past, but Raid71...Your shit works, brother. This is a really cool design, and the baby is really drawn well. I dig it, hombre.
@BOODOFFSTAGE - You know, That thought crossed my mind... I would even buy it if it was Mary Marvel and Supergirl. Dammit. Now I have to go draw that...
Finally got up some nerve to post after hearing about these on the muller blog.
Hope this meets up with the guidelines... i was inspired by a few ideas i saw in the Amazing Fantasy thread and parusing Todd Klein's excellent logo studies of DC Romance Comics.
