Well young Mark, in a few years time you'll get your wish. Hope you can live with it afterwards, you cute little bastard. Lovely episode, as always.
This week started pretty crap, but has ended pretty, pretty, pretty well! Tuesday night I was so stressed that I woke half the way up in the night and demanded that my girlfriend told me her job reference number so I could process her application, or some such bollocks. Tonight I will be going to a club with fun music and ballpits and facepainting. This is very much a cigarette of victory kinda moment. -

Irony runs rampant:) Poor Mark, wanted to save the world, and they rejected him, he wanted to lead the FAs and they rejected him. Didn't they understand that he knows better than them and has their best interests at heart? Now have to wait a week! I'd whinge, except it's an amazing thing to get six pages of amazingly superior story and art almost every Friday year round--that's a LOT of work and commitment for the artists who also have other irons in the fire. I love you all. Ellis, you don't suck---well....only when you shamelessly manipulate our feelings and perceptions (odd to admire someone for their ability to cause me such agony)! lol!

I love the huge gulf between the here-and-now Mark and his innocent idealistic youthfulness. It really makes us wonder, what happened to cause him to become so twisted?
Guilt for what he/they did, which descended into bitterness?
By the way (apologies if I've missed this) but is Arkady her real name, or is that a nickname derived from her initials (RKD?) -

But he was already twisted when they did that. Read the flashback scenes carefully, it's Mark pushing for destruction all the way. -

I don't know about this particular character, but "Arkady" is a name given to either a man or a woman. I've known two women with that name (ahr-KAY-dee), one of whom had actually been christened "Arcadia". And, of course, there's Arkady Darell. -

this episode reaffirms one of my main questions/pondering for the series "what caused the freakangels to be on the run from the government/military"?
even during my rereadings of the series i dont see a definite answer
during the flashback leading up to the crash it was mentioned that their parents turned them in to the government, what goes so wrong with 14yo Mark's plan to help everyone that it causes them to be universally hated?
and i got to say that i love and hate this episode, love it for the questions it raises, and hate that it makes us wait to see Mark's fate -

Not "another cliffhanger", the same freakin cliffhanger! How many nano seconds passed in that episode?
Brilliant work, managed to maintain the same fierce emotion of the last few episodes while frozen in time!
The 2nd page, with Marc alone on the grass was so perfect. I almost felt motion from the shot.
