Interesting to see the gaps in awareness with the minute details of the Marvel U. If this were happening on a CBR forum, this thread would be 90 pages long and Warren would be putting a bullet in his head...or someone else's head...

    I like Mr. Hex's idea.
  1.  (7954.183)
    Someone already mentioned Captain Universe.
    Kill-Raven? Project Pegasus? Ka-Zar?
    It! the Living Colossus
    Squadron Supreme
    The Defenders
    Devil Dinosaur
    Super Villain Team-Up
  2.  (7954.184)
    Devil Dinosaur

When people ask me to do more NEXTWAVE, I think of moments like this one.
  3.  (7954.185)
I think a Dr. Doom series could be good but Marvel is starting to use this character again. Other characters I didn't mention previously have been used in one form or another: Star Lord, Dragon Lord, Mimic (original X-Men rolled into one), Black Goliath, and The Vision (the alien; not the android)

Thor corps because once again Warren writing Beta Ray Bill would be funny as hell.
    http://marvel.com/universe/Thor_Corps

    Failing that

Cybermancer and Century ( not Sentry ) from Force Works ? That team was full of characters the vanished with the 90's.

This is the real tragedy of the whole civil war/initiative thing - they've already pretty much scraped the bottom of the second- and third-tiers already.

Surely a bunch of the Initiative guys are going to be freed up soon. I'd kill to see Mr. Ellis write Slapstick.

Perhaps someone could persuade Marvel to shell out for the corpse of Comico? /Elementals/ begs for a reboot.

Don't mean to nitpick is a suitable phrase to introduce a bit of nitpicking. So here we go.

Are people actually reading everything else before posting?

    We've had independant suggestions for:

    Ka-Zar x 3
Silver Sable x 2 (my fault, that one)
    Dazzler x 2
ROM x 3 [who the fuck is ROM - don't answer that]
    Beta Ray Bill x 3
    Living Colossus x 3
Cloak and Dagger x 2 (who get used a bit)
    MODOK x 2
    Iron Fist x 3
    The Defenders x 3
Alpha Flight x 3 [or Omega Flight, they're different but confusion reigns]
    Man-Thing x 2 [for fuck's sake, Man-Thing?]
    Former Malibu/Ultraverse x 5

Mr Fixit was The Hulk and he's not clever or grey anymore. Isn't he red and world warring, or something?

I personally name checked Nextwave and it's host of characters [sort of] in two postings.

And finally: I thought I was the only person alive who'd read Nth Man [2 mentions]. Didn't that actually finish in a fairly apocalyptic kind of way? It's been a while and I don't have it anymore.

I didn't bother tallying suggestions for the characters who are currently being used [a lot of them. And I'm really out of touch with the Marvel Universe continuity - apart from Batman being dead and his old side-kick taking up the shield... hang on...].

And anybody X-men related - dead or otherwise, they will return. They always do. Besides, he needs to save those. The man is currently writing an X-book, old character back from the dead is the standard fall back if X-scribe's get stuck for a story, isn't it?

Now, I will shut up after saying: ALL OF YOU go and read NextWAVE again. Right now!

Don't make me turn this car around...

, which is funny since he posted the exact same thing as me in the very next post... Just kidding. I mean, he did, but we were typing at the same time. To be fair Nick, we did at least come up with different issues that he wrote...

Sizer is right about one thing, TONS of characters you'd think were forgotten are all over the Marvel U. Kosmopolit suggested Nuke, but he's leading the Thunderbolts (but probably only until the Heroic Age starts...) as Scourge, and was fighting Wolverine when the Origins ongoing started a few years ago... I read a lot of Marvel, but I do feel like there are so many crappy forgotten heroes being jammed back into the new books that it's hard to pin them all down...

@NickDonald- I remember Nth Man: The Ultimate Ninja, and his death dealing spoons and bowls. Nice tally, but you totally skipped my mention of the powers that be of the Marvel U

I know Elektra has made some appearances recently but she's probably one of the highest profile chracters that doesn't have their own book.

Or how about Lilith, Dracula's daughter.

I wouldn't mind seeing Omega Red resurrected, be it by the Russian government or otherwise, and given a series, considering all that's going on in Russia. (I don't tend to follow the Marvel Universe, but I've done a brief search and it seems he's not being used. Sorry for suggesting it if he is.)

Toro? Venus? Phantom Lady? Jimmy Woo if he isn't busy? Shanna the She-Devil and Ka-Zar?

Franklin Richards and the Power Pack (depowered but armed with alien tech) acting like International Rescue.

Steelgrip Starkey as a statement about returning Veterans ...

    Monarch Starstalker or Gladiator II

I like Beta Ray Bill but prefer we see the Thunderfrog instead.

"Jimmy Woo if he isn't busy?"...he's got the Atlas vs Avengers series in progresss now...and a new ongoing starting in May. (3-D Man is being used there as well FWIW).

This is harder than I thought.

Forbush Man. A full-on examination of the man. Deep, post-modern shit.
  7.  (7954.197)
    Forbush Man

Isn't he similar to Batman? He needed a costume to strike free into man. When his wife threw a pot at him, a hero was born.
  8.  (7954.198)
I don't know if anyone made these suggestions:

    Ka-Zar
    Silver Sable
    Dazzler
    ROM
    Beta Ray Bill
    Living Colossus
    Cloak and Dagger
    MODOK
    Iron Fist
    The Defenders
    Alpha Flight
    Man-Thing
    Former Malibu/Ultraverse

    Just kidding NickDonald!

    @Screwlosskid

That's an interesting question. In fact, some have been mentioned multiple times...

I am so glad that you wankers can't count. It gives me a real sense of power. Now, leave me be! I have many other things to list and tally!
