Well, in all seriousness — my vote would go to the Guardians Of The Galaxy as I mentioned earlier. I've always felt that the original line-up has such a great SF premise at its core (engineered humans mining Jupiter, crystallised human species living on Pluto and a time traveller who can't ever get out of his space suit or he'd crumble to dust) that never seemed to have been explored beyond the "super-heroes in space" angle.

(And yes I know they're being used now etc etc. This is just my inner geek talking)

Didn't Malibu own some non-Ultraverse properties?

Are they encumbered in the same way as the Ultraverse characters?

Not that there were any outstanding titles that I can remember - Ex-Mutants? Dinosaurs for Hire? Shuriken? Protectors?

I suppose this would fall under the Marvel wouldn't touch this due to licensing issues...

    But how about:
    Crystar!

Nothing says potential like a failed 1980's toy line.

Okay, I give up, I'll just stick with my original Union Jack suggestion.

    Has anybody mentioned Armless Tigerman?

In fact you can find many dormant marvel characters there, most of them very dormant.
(and I was wondering where all those unmentionned before dormant heros came from.

Only ones that are coming to mind are Generation X and Chamber in particular. But I hear rumours Gen X may be in something soon (which also kinda sucks, as it's always been my dream to pitch a return to that series with Marvel).

Likewise, character who was put in a book and then promtply forgotten about AGAIN: Northstar. I'd love to seehim actually doing something (and no, I do not mean another dude).

If Pete Wisdom is free now, it'd be cool to see you return to that character.

Did anyone say Moon-Boy and Devil Dinosaur yet?

Perhaps Wraith from the "Annihilation: Conquest" storyline?

In the end, he felt like nothing more than a plot device to sort the ending of Conquest but the 'lonesome cowboy in space' could be an interesting starting premise, a more down-to-earth (pun intended) cosmic loner than Silver Surfer. Huge cosmic playground, weird sado-masochistic background, searching for his parents' killers, trying to find himself...

this thread is pretty hilarious, no one is paying attention to anything people say OR comics marvel has put out on the past like five years!

besides that, i dont really have any ideas because like you said, you know whats coming up more than i do. im kinda bummed that the Thanos return is being done as part of a big-ass 'line' of books, because i love that character and i think you couldve done his imminent return in a fucked up and interesting way in like a solid 4 issue mini. ( no offense to DnA who are actually doing it, i will still be checking it out!)

    My Suggestions are

    1. The Jack of Hearts - killed off a few times the last in the abysmal Avengers Disassembled series. I think he's an interesting character with a cool look I doubt anyone has an interest in. Plus Warren doing a cosmic themed adventure would be pretty cool.

    2. Darkhawk - Involved in the War of Kings story, but possibley available for a solo series, I think he's a character of immense possibilities.

    3. Guardsmen - thought this could be a cool OZ with supervillians style book, focused on the guards of the superpowered villians prison "the vault"

Are Echo and Iron Fist spoken for in the Marvel U? I assume Iron Fist is, but I hear nothing about Danny these days...
