    Short form: Scientists have discovered evidence of a gravitational force, a "dark flow", that exists *outside of the universe* and affects all things within the universe, a "macro-gravity" if you will.

    There's got to be a good sci-fi story seed in here somewhere.

    They don't seem to be saying "outside" in the sense of "you could open a door to it here", though. More like the conventional way outside, where it's just further away than the edge of the known universe.

    Yeah, it's more: "The universe is bigger than the area we can see and the bits we can't see are influcing the bits we CAN see."

    For The Bleed you need to take a look at string theory and the Many World hypothesis.
