    This week;

Optimus Gryme - NZ Tour Mix. I owe my discovery of these mixes to this thread. So cheers for that.
The Blood Brothers - Young Machetes. My little brother made me very proud and bought this the other day. Damn fine album.
Jay-Z - The Blueprint. Takeover. That is all.
The Hood Internet - Mixtape Vol. 1 - 4. Because its that kind of week.
Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island. Because.
Pig Destroyer - Terrifyer/Prowler in the Yard/Natasha. Yeah.
Shield Your Eyes - Live in Leeds. I was at the gig this is bootlegged from. They fucking slayed. In the end the guitarist damn near disassembled his guitar, for kicks.

Fuck Buttons, Untold and 2562 (in that order) were on rotation last week as I was writing my dissertation. Gave me a good rhythm to type to. Now the dissertation is finished! I'm celebrating with Dizzee Rascal and Basement Jaxx.

    Endtroducing by DJ Shadow

Saw a live band recreate this whole album at the weekend, and it was the best gig I've been to in ages.

For the first few tracks, everyone was just grinning at each other as if to say "Fuck, yeah! They've got the sound just right!"

Also love Fuck Buttons and Einstürzende Neubauten at the moment...

    Albums on repeat:
Low Level Owl Volume One by the Appleseed Cast - Warm music, builds. Good sound to think around.
Hospice by the Antlers - I put this on when I sleep, because, like Low Level Owl, its a really warm album.
Daylight EP by Aesop Rock - Nothing says poetic hip hop like Aesop, right? I mean... I don't like a lot of rap, and its mostly because the pop music is obnoxious, but Aesop's lyrics constantly surprise me, almost as much as his delivery does.
Dead Cities, Red Seas and Low Ghosts by M83 - Good music to be awake to.

MC Elemental - Cup of Brown Joy

I'm developing a serious obsession with 'Chap Hop'. Definitely getting MC Elemental's album. Also that of Mr. B, The Gentleman Rhymer...

Mr. B, The Gentleman Rhymer - Straight Outta Surrey

It is possible I have a snapped brain, but if Chap Hop is wrong then I do not want to be right.

(Hopefully I've done this right first time and won't need to edit this time...)
