The Advisory Circle - Mind How You Go (Revised Edition) The new tracks, mixes and arrangement makes an already awesome album just that much better.
Twilight - Monument to Time End Sludgy black metal supergroup featuring members of Isis, The Atlas Moth and Nachtmystium. Liking this one much more than their debut. Shame about the name and shame they've called it quits already.
Daughters - Self-Titled Wasn't that familiar with them until late last year, but I've been playing the hell out of this.
Dillinger Escape Plan - Option Paralysis Much less schizophrenic than Ire Works. Not ready to say its better yet, but I think they've done a more coherent job of marrying their older hardcore style with the poppy/NIN-influcenced stuff.
Ben Frost - By The Throat I keep coming back to this over and over. Beautiful but menacing electronica.
@Allana: Do the vocals on the new Eluvium fit in with the music?
Past few days:
Majority of the discographies of: 16 Eyehategod Baroness Kylesa Mastodon Today is the Day
sludgy stuff, I guess
Interlude: Tool Ulver
Punk bands: Wire's "Pink Flag" The Stooges' studio albums + "Metallic 2xKO" Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life"
Japanese bands: A few Yellow Machinegun albums Listening now: Boris' "Akuma no Uta" and the Japanese version of "Smile" Coming up: Boris with Michio Kurihara's "Rainbow" followed by a couple of Ghost albums
Really liking the new DJ Spooky disc... And Mose Allison's new CD, while 90 degrees askew from what I've been listening to lately, is exceptional. Robert Rich's new one is very good, too. All I've heard of My Brightest Diamond is that "Shark Remix" collection, so I don't know anything about the original versions.

@JiveKitty, i'm at a loss to explain, without sounding like an elitist asshole, why i think the principle of Eluvium never having vocals is more important than the way Eluvium might sound with vocals. with that bias exposed, i will go on to say that i think it sounds like ass.
I do, in fact, love AFP's new song, and I am super-happy for her being cut loose from her label.
