@frequentcontributor: I first thought your Colossus was Forge, both work well for their different reasons. nice. My single favorite thing in this thread so far is the quilted jacket liner detail on Cyclops's jacket.

@JonScrivens: Jean La Roux Grey. Interesting.

I knew that this thread was gonna produce some winners, but that was a wholly unexpected level of pleasure. Too many good ones to single anyone out at this point. Jones made me laugh with the 4 panel page with dialogue! It was like an ad lib comic designed by Warren.

I guess my dyslexia returns when I'm tired - on par with the Skywolf one -- heh
    Magneto as Mark -
There are too fucking many x-men - honest! I like the idea of Bobby Drake being the White Queen ...

internet fucked, this post got half posted, see below...

Jones?: That is hilarious! That's exactly what reading both Freakangels AND X-Men is like... Lots of telepathic "talking" about random shit.

robb: I'd have given Forge a moustache... I did know the striped shirt might be pushing it with the subtlety, though. Glad you like the jacket lining. I just kept thinking of Mr. Glass' badass leather trench from Unbreakable.

stsparky: I kind of can't tell what's going on with devolved Van Gogh at the bottom, but I like the yellow Devo outfits. Reminds me of Life Aquatic, for some reason...

And I guess now I have to draw Bobby Drake as the White Queen and post it over in the artists' thread... (I guess I didn't realize that Iceman's ice form and Emma's diamond form look fairly similar...)

@Vicky Van I love the texture and the mood of yours! Especially how the Kirby dots add that little extra bit of other-worldliness to it. Does Storm play that Piano, or does Wolverine?

@Lordmitz This is my favorite so far- I like how everyone seems to fit the imagery of rebellion of a particular decade. Beatnik night crawler, Mod Cyclops, Cyber-raver Jubilee, Punk storm, Hoody Wolverine, Hyper-femme Pheonix.

@Raid71 Like everyone else I laud your excellent re-invention of Wolverine's claws!

@LokiZero ETA, I really like this, it's so efficient at getting the concept across and visually bold in a scary, subdued way.

@jamesmith3 I like your composition- it really gets me exploring the image, the blues in the city are intriguing, and I like the danger/ weather goddess implied by the characters.

I also like how everyone has taken the notion that the texture and colour of Paul Duffield's work are so intrinsic to Freakangels, and either recreated it in their own way or found a colour and texture that suits them. I'm looking forward to seeing more posts as the 11th approaches.

@leighwoosey Thanks! I'm figuring out this wacom tablet of mine one Ellis challenge at a time:) Still go a little bit overboard on the lines. Wish I had more time to clean it up and maybe colour it but, alas, work beckons. Just a sketch this week.
I'm guessing they both have a few drinks and come up with some foot/fingers piano composition that sounds a little punk rock!

Man, this week is kicking my ass; it's going to be a late one for me, but I wanted to say that what I've seen so far fills me with fire to contribute. Hot fire of guilt and creativity!

@Alberto: The Wolverine is so good - but it's all great!

So impressed by everyone who rose to the challenge.
