Because I've forgotten how awesome they were, I'm starting the third edition of the Post-Apocalyptic mixtape thread. Well, fourth edition, if you count the muxtape days.

Here's the deal: every good apocalypse needs an awesome soundtrack to get you through til the day you invariable die in a resource-scarcity gunfight. You're probably lonely, you're probably angry, and you're probably at least a little sad and guilty that you made it and your friends didn't. Music... yes, music will keep you going. Or drive you mad.

What does your future doom sound like?

    The 8tracks info is
    name: postapocalyptic
    pass: whitechapel

I've started it off with Nine Inch Nails' "The Great Destroyer". Add your own, leave a note here if you do, and we'll see how many of these we can make, since it's been nearly a year since the last one and we have a lot of new blood. (note: I don't have a good photo for the pic... someone have a good one?)

Thanks to oldhat for the first thread, and icelandbob for the second. And reosarevok for reminding me of the whole project! Let's build on the awesome of those who have come before us!

(note to the overlords: If you think this would be better served in the 8tracks thread, by all means nuke this one.)

I added The Bananas - New Animals because they always feel sweetly unhinged, pop-punk songs falling over and bleeding on themselves.

    HOORAY!
