Red Bull plane crashes into Swan River

This is the fourth time the Red Bull Air Race has been to Perth and the first mishap so, generally speaking, they're not too bad.

The thing that piqued my interest was the actual article itself. A perfect example of what to do with a breaking news story when there are very few details available: simply repeat the same information SEVEN TIMES! Six different eye witness's accounts AND the reporting staff all saying the same thing. The perfect use of 933 words.

My office has a good view towards the city so we get to watch the planes practice every year. If we'd been paying attention we probably would have seen the pilot heading in for his date with the river. ]]>
