I ought to be making this a monthly capture. So I'm going to start here. One week out of every month.

I make a webcomic called Dark Places, which is a fantasy-adventure-horror kind of thing. It's been going for almost a year and a half updating weekly, each chapter's self-contained (though eventually feeding into a wider narrative), and foes so far have included Dread Things from Beyond the Stars, Horrors from the Deeps, and the Wild Hunt.

Mine is at www.dotgif-comic.com its published twice a week, on a Monday with an on going arc and on Friday with a one shot joke issue. It is written by myself and drawn by a friend, we are both computer science graduates but don't hold that against us.
The arc is relatively new and last featured a seemingly innocuous job interview where one character had a run-in with the fittingly titled head of "human resources"

The Friday strips tend to be more topical related to whatever has happened that week, here is a recent one following the DEBill debate

We've been doing the strip for a little over 2 years now, and are approaching the 100th issue, but please take into account this is done entirely in our freetime.

My webcomic is fairly new, as am I to photoshop comic-ing methods (so its a bit rough). This chapter of Soul Power includes an oppressive corporation, a hooker, a bike gang, awesome robot-girl fighting, nudity, cursing... fun for the whole family really. If you havent guessed, its a SciFi comic, so read if you like that sort of thing?

Milo the Cloud Had a great time at c2e2 this weekend, in the webcomics pavilion. My table was right next to Alan, up there hawking his fantastic Rival Angels strip, and all had a great time. Good to meet you in person, man. Cheers to all that I met and shared a laugh with this weekend.

Hey folks, my name is Jon Scrivens I'm the creator of the webcomic Little Terrors! I've just started a new webcomic project called When's Graham, which I'll write about also.

Little Terrors!

A macabre adventure comic set in a fictional UK commuter town near London. The world has ended, the country is swarming with the living dead and only a group of children have seemed to survived. Our main character Jonas is a small child who was hit by a lorry mere weeks before the end of the world, he like much of the population is a zombie, but without the lust for human flesh. The comic follows his adventures and exploration of finding what is actually going on.

The comic is now updating on Fridays from this week after a bit of a hiatus (whilst I got When's Graham up and running).

University is a fun time for most english teenagers, living away from home, partys, drinking, smoking and did I mention drinking? It's a fine balance of the wild fun times and getting the work done. Hello,
My name is Boulet and I'm a french cartoonist... I didn't know this site, I'm one of the "tell your friends" incomers...
I draw a webcomic since 2004... It's not a big story, more little scenes which can be imaginary or scenes from my life...

One note is a complete improvised story of usaly 2 or 3 pages (I don't write scenario before or use any roughs: the principe is: just take a pen and draw), so I just show you one to avoid flooding !

I chose this one because it's a non-texts one... Of course most of my story are in french, but recently I started a translation (but it's quit difficult for me, as you can see, I can't really write in a perfect english !) starting from the begining of the webcomic.

The Water Phoenix King is a mythic fantasy story in a world of coin-birthed dragons, catfish-riding invaders from the moon, and a twisted sort of karma laid down by an oppressive creator-god, a phenomenon--called Tamantha--against which our heroes have begun to struggle. It's currently in its third chapter and really picking up, with a freed time demon currying favors with political exiles, the general of a dead god struggling to reassert his influence in heaven, and an angel of chaos looking for identity and purpose amidst a clashing pantheon of squabbling shrine gods.

My name is Deanna and I publish a weekly webcomic La Macchina Bellica. It's an neo-victorian/steampunkish graphic novel (not like, a gag strip or something). The story has two POV's from the two female protagonists representing both sides of a looming war; Kana Inari - an engineer conscripted into the Confederate States of Feuerland military designing war machines based on burried technology from civilizations past, and Aubrey Devon - representing the Calanthians, who lack technological advancement but make up for it by harnessing the elements.

The comic started out (first 6 chapters) in black and white with screentones, but I've recently changed to a color format.

Webcomics week again! Excellent. Why not have a look at mine? It's called The Cattle Raid of Cooley, and it's an adaptation of one of the oldest stories of northern Europe. One reader says it's "rapidly progressing from a very good interpretation to a classic in its own right". It's an Iron Age war story, basically. If you like Eric Shanower's Age of Bronze, or ancient literature generally, this is for you.

Shortly before the sequence below, Ailill (the chap with the beard, who happens to be king of Connacht) has discovered that Fergus (the chap with the moustache, who used to be king of Ulster) has been having it away with his wife, and while he was engaged in said activity, stolen his sword. Then he's challenged him to a friendly board game.

Carnivore Carnival is a series of short comics drawn by me. How short? Well, ranging from 1 to 14 pages (although I have a script ready for a 28 page long tale too).

Right now there's a total of six finished stories:

Planet Adam, Conception and Definition, Until Death Do Us Part, The Town at the End of the World, Making History, Taxi!, and currently being serialized is The Herb.

There are no genre or style limitations. The only two are: it has to be in color and shorter than 52 pages.

Around June or July there'll be a print edition of the first 52 pages through Ka-blam/indylpanet, most likely titled Coilstar Illustrated (I chose the title for the webcomic before I found out there's a novel titled Carnivorous Carnival, which I deemed too close for comfort. Thus the title change for the print books).

This makes the third Webcomics Week that I've posted about my character-driven, science-fiction comic November Shift! The general premise is that seven students at the Goddard School of Astronautical Engineering aboard Strongwater Station in the year 2118 are tied together by their assignment to the November (or N) Shift for scavenging duty. Scavenging is a brand of work-study job wherein students retrieve and catalog space junk for the dual purpose of recycling precious metals and equipment as well as decluttering the low Earth orbit environment, which is becoming dangerously congested with debris.

I've done a couple of webcomics in the past, including a complete Graphic Novel called Damnation that you can read here.

This month I started a thing called Particle Fiction. There's no fixed ongoing storyline, instead I'm posting a complete 16 page story once a month.

The first one's a grimey sci-fi/pulp/crime thing that's kind of unashamedly cheesy:

I know it's kind of a weird model for webcomics, but I've done the page-at-a-time thing, and it really didn't work for me. Apart from anything else, the work suffered, as it really fucked my pacing. This way I make better comics, and I'm actually more productive.

Hey kids: Dan Goldman here. I've previously done comics like Shooting War, the nonfiction election OGN "08" and "KELLY" for ACT-I-VATE. Since January, I've been serializing my dream project, a new tropical horror series called RED LIGHT PROPERTIES over at Tor.com, which is a project approximately 9 years in the making.

RLP is the first in a series of OGNs about a small real estate office on Miami Beach that exorcises and lists "previously haunted homes", connecting them to victims of the mortgage crisis. The firm's exorcist Jude Tobin enters the spirit world via hallucinogens scored off a local anthropology professor while his very-recent (and very angry) ex-wife runs the office's daily affairs; it's both a psychedelic horror and a family drama. I'm putting up 8-page installements every other Tuesday over on Tor.com through mid-September, with the second volume starting a few months after that.

My work on RLP is a mixture of vector drawing, digital paint, collage and 3D architectural renderings; I recently did a video interviewed about my comic-making process on the series, which I share now with you.

Hello, my name is Mav and I am the writer of Cosmic Hellcats. Cosmic Hellcats is an ongoing strip that parodies manga, science fiction and pop culture. It stars four catgirls, their robot and their spaceship and a cast of side characters they meet along the way. Each character is based on a real life model (I'm a photographer) so the website features sexy photoshoots of the real girls as well.

We publish new comics every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Mondays and Thursdays being part of an ongoing story arch while Saturday comics are gag strips that give you a break from the ongoing stories. The third story arch just began, so we invite you to check it out and let us know what you think.

I'm Stephen Nocentelli, and I do a little comic called Real-Super.

Real-Super is a comedy featuring super heroes as they go about their every day lives. Thunderbolt works for the Titan Up Corporation, which hires and manages super people and deploys them around the city as needed, for an hourly wage. Along with his roommate, The Hooded Man, and best friends, Fireman and The Pantaloon, Thunderbolt works to save the day from the dark lord Rob, but would rather stay home and goof off.

Updated on Mondays and Fridays, Real-Super is a comic comprised of both single gag strips and short story arcs.

My name is Rob Chambers and I do a D&D-inspired humor strip called MeatShield. MeatShield revolves around two characters so far: Dhur, a half-orc barbarian and the fiercest knitter in the Five Kingdoms and Jaine, a half-elf bard working on her master's thesis by chronicling Dhur's "adventures," if that's what you call them. The current storyline has Dhur and Jaine trying to find and retrieve a teen-age prince who has run away from home with his girlfriend and taken a powerful magical artifact to boot. Hope you like it!

Upon arriving at the cabin early that evening, they are surprised to find the place deserted but with supplies and food littered about as if suddenly dropped. A large bonfire is still lit outside and tracks lead all over. There are no messages, no cell phone reception, and no land line working, so the two take a couple flash lights and decide to follow a set of tracks off into the dimly lit woods. Unfortunately, the two get spooked and run off the trail as the weather starts to turn. Soon they are lost and need to find shelter, but are determined to find their missing friends and discover what made everyone disappear.”

Geoffrey D. Wessel here once again, and not JUST pimping the same old Morrissey-barbarian-fantasy story that I usually do, namely There Is A Light, which of course was written by me, and drawn by the insanely talented John Keogh of the now-sadly-ended webstrip Lucid TV...

But also here to stump for an almost-launched NEW webcomic anthology site called Hadron Colliderscope, which will feature SF/fantasy stories not too dissimilar to the good ol' Future Shocks from 2000AD. Here's a page from a story that will be one of the first at launch, my sole contribution so far (but more to come!) entitled "Whole Lotta Rosie," art by site creator/chief Michael Vincent Bramley:

And hey, just for laughs, why not check out the pilot episode for a web strip that never went any further, a super-prison epic entitled The Grave, art also by Bramley. Sad it didn't go any further, but hey, lessons were learned and in some ways, I'm sort of glad it DIDN'T get any further. But hey, who knows WHAT the future holds?

Hi, I'm Michael Bramley from Hadron Colliderscope

We're an upcoming webcomic collective due to go live some time this month. We specialize in short sci-fi comics in two or three pages ranging from the silly to the disturbing. Hey there, I'm Gardner. Along with co-writer Chris Thorn and artists Dave Lentz and Rob Simmons, I'm responsible for the webcomic Registered Weapon, about a robotic cash register who fights crime.

Currently FELIX (the cash register) and his partner Frank are in the middle of their fourth case: a murder at the LAPD's annual Policeman's Ball. Here's Frank interrogating Johnny, the reptilian date of the Department's other robotic officer, TATM:

Hi, Mr. Ellis. I´m from Amazonas, Brazil. Me and some buddies have a site with lots of webcomics, all original. This sequence is from a comic I made in the 24 hour comic day event, called The King-Size Orquestra, as we were online hosts of it, and it´s being posted every saturday, at 4:20 .am.

It´s about weed smokers that aren´t slackers, as they are low/middle-class graduates and workers, and have to deal with the drug world as users of the hemp, dealing with the doubts and downs of this scene. It is a drama were the charachters always try to keep their good humor, in a third world country perspective (shit is going down hard over here)

Also you can find there other comics such as "The Dead Are Walking" (there´s a silent short-film also from us); "Little Cutie Princess"; "Pingo - the drunk bunny"; among others...

Hi, I'm Michael Jonathan and I do two online comics. The first is Eros Inc., which is about a twenty-something Jewish girl who is hired to be Cupid for her neighborhood in Los Angeles. It updates every Wednesday and Friday.

All nice entries, however, I could not help noticing how much different mine is from most posted here. Its called the Protector of the Damned and I refer to it as an online graphic novella, but if it were published as a hardcopy is would simply be a 52 page graphic novel.

Much more darker and sinister than many of you might like, but it's what I like to write (lol)!

I've been working on a comic for the last... um... 3 years? 4? I'm not a natural writer, so this is the first long story I've actually completed.

I've drawn the first 80 pages and still working forward, and put the first 20 or so online here: SOFT, your new favourite webcomic.

I've had to take some time out as I'm in the middle of moving house, but I've paused at the end of Part Two, so no hanging threads. Just bear in mind, while it looks very pretty, it's exceedingly (and increasingly) NSFW.

I recently completed Garanos, a 487-page fantasy with elements of gothic horror, drama, and romance thrown in for flavor. Garanos follows the journey of the titular heroine, who becomes possessed by a demon while traveling to find her kidnapped fiance.

I actually just finished it all last Wednesday, April 14th. I'm currently on a holiday of sorts while I deflate and get some other art done for pleasure, but then I'm going to tackle some smaller side projects that went by the wayside while I was focused on finishing Garanos. I'm told it's a good read, so it should be even better now that no one has to wait for new pages to go up! Hope you enjoy it.

Join in the fun. I do two webcomics even though my artwork has been described as "sandpaper for the eyes" and "hieroglyphic at best." The first, Terebinth, I've been doing for ten years now on a variety of schedules: currently, it's a new page every Monday and Thursday. It's a small-scale, character-based fantasy romance inspired by my enjoyment of George Herriman's Krazy Kat.

The second, Daily Grind, is just over five years old now and updates with two pages every day Monday through Friday as part of the Daily Grind Iron Man Competition. It's a talking animal action/adventure series inspired by my enjoyment of the old radio serials of the 1930s and 40s.

A new comer to Comics in general, my upcoming web comic Citadel will start going up next month at my website.

Citadel is an adventure story following the lives of two families growing up in separate sides of war-torn countries. Spanning time and the great distance; a mysterious power intertwines their lives.

Hi guys, i'm Brett Uren and my comic is called 'KUZIMU', my main site is http://www.kuzimu.co.uk

'Kuzimu' is a chapter-based comic that incorporates African/world mythology, horror, science fiction and psychology to illustrate the mysteries of humanity.

Moreover, the story is about conjecture as much as exposition, to illicite the sense of exploration and mystery surrounding the world i've created. The ultimate aim would be to create a cult fanbase, who would want to discuss the details. themes and landscapes in Kuzimu, which until its conclusion and perhaps even after that is open to some interpretation.
I wanted to create something as an independent that was different but could begin to stand up alongside the big name publishers in terms of quality.

Here is an interior page from issue 1 showing the as yet unnamed protagonist (to be revealed in later issues) and the variant cover from issue 3 (Depicting the dragons Gog and Magog):

Issue 1 is free to read on my site, other issues are priced at £1.50 with free variant cover images.
Also it is going to be available digitally via Graphic.ly very soon and you can buy in print from R6XX.com .

Issue 4 is in the works right now and I should have it finished really soon. It takes a while for an issue to come out as i'm a one man band at present. Rest assured if I went professional you'd be looking at a bimonthly instead of maybe two a year!

My name is Darryl Hughes aka "TheDeeMan". I'm the writer/creator of The Continentals It's for the folks who like a little murder, mystery, and adventure with their steam punky webcomics. LOL! Here's the plot:

1889. Barely a year after the mysterious Jack the Rippers murderous rampage and equally mysterious disappearance the city of Mansfordshire, England is shaken by a series of brutal "mangling" murders that plunge the city into an abyss of fear.

Investigating the case, Continental Operatives Jeffrey Tiffen Smythe and his partner the gender bending adventuress lady Fiona Fiziwigg uncover the threads that bind the murderer, his victims, the highest echelons of society, it's lowest dregs, and even the police officers investigating the case in a tangled web of mystery, adventure, intrigue, and murder that is like Sherlock Holmes, mixed with equal parts of the 60's tv show "The Avengers", with a dash of James Bond for flavor.

I'm Peter Allen, and I write and draw Frontier: 2170, a sci-fi webcomic with bits of noir, western and slice of life to taste. It's about the (mis)adventures of an independent spaceship crew as they try to make ends meet in the middle of an interplanetary shooting war. I have the prologue and the first chapter done, but since I'm still in the process of migrating to the ComicGenesis site it won't all be up for a while. Ordinarily, it updates on Tuesdays and Fridays, but since I'm busy migrating it'll be updating daily until the end of Stage 01.

Hi, my webcomic is Starthrower in Haiti and it's a fundraiser to help Haitians go to high school. The sponsorships are provided by a charity called Starthrower Foundation. The stories I have drawn so far were all written by Sharon Gaskell, the founder of Starthrower. My next story was going to be about my trip to Haiti and my stay at the Starthrower Foundation but I had to pospone it due to the earthquake. Until I'm able to travel down there, I won't be posting new updates on my webcomic BUT the fundraising is still on, so if you like the stories and what I'm trying to do, please give what you can.
I have 6 stories for a total of 26 pages right now. Each story has a different style, so here examples from 3 stories.

Hello all! I'm Jenn Jordan, co-writer of Darwin Carmichael is Going to Hell. My co-writer/artist/bff is Sophie Goldstein. Darwin lives in Brooklyn, the borough of choice for hipsters, artists, deities and an assortment of mythological creatures. Darwin has a problem. Due to an unfortunate incident involving some intense snogging, an unbalanced high chair, and a framed image of the Buddha, he acquired a massive karmic deficit. Long story short, he’s going to go to Hell. Darwin doesn’t particularly want to go to Hell, so he’s doing everything he can to save his immortal soul. He is aided by his karmically rich friend Ella, and his pet manticore Skittles.

We update every Tuesday and Thursday. We launched on January 1, 2009, and we're still going strong. Here is a recent favorite:

This is my Webcomic called Punk Rock Apocalypse. Its based around the lives of two twenty somethings in a far future metropolis as the world end around them. In a world where the future has arrived, what is there to wait for and apathy is endemic. Thel and Gravnov, two strangers who meet in a hostage situation, see more than most and uncover a plot to end the world forever.

It updates weekly with three pages every Sunday, but it won't be updating until the 16t of May because right now the web-guy is on Holiday and I don't know how to update the site.

As much as webcomics tend to cover the usual geek culture subjects, I don't think I've ever seen one about comics. Thus - Half-Assed Commitment. I'm mostly a Marvel reader, so if you're conversant with things like Siege and ASM and Marvel Zombies, this is the strip for you.

Think xkcd without all the intelligence and consistency, or Penny Arcade without all the characterization and good art.

But zombies? It's got zombies!

And OJ! What could be more topical than OJ?

I update Tuesdays and Thursdays. Only in my third week, but I think It's coming along alright so far. Oh, and there's a blog - feedback and comments are much appreciated, because right now it's hard to tell if anybody's even seeing it.

Some of you guys are really starting to make me feel bad for not doing color. Gang of Fools is on it's 2nd story cycle,
this one called "Dancing Naked in Another Man's Garden." My elevator pitch for MoCCA was "Futuristic action hipsters and the people who hate them."
Which is silly, because who hates hipsters more than hipsters? But there is sex. And things blow up. And nobody learns a damn thing.

G.A.A.K: Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures by me (Darryl Hughes) and artist Monqie MacNaughton is a 50's style monsters-run-amok, alien invasion adventure with Spielberg style and a Tim Burton flair that can best be described as The Goonies meets The Invaders from Mars.

When aliens from outer space lead by the kooky maniacal alien Gakk and his posse of "Acme Instant Alien Kreatures" invade a small suburban town and hatch a fiendish plot to take over the earth and meet the original cast of "Star Trek", four misfit friends named Zach, Jemmy, Plato, and Chubs lead a squad of teenaged commandos to stop the invasion, save the world, and show the aliens that the kids of america don't take crap from nobody--And no body snatchers, either!

I write a weekly updated webcomic with artist Andrew Sides called BORDER CROSSINGS. There are currently over 50 pages of story online.

BORDER CROSSINGS is a dark marine fantasy where a salvage submarine’s strange crew must redefine freedom for their drowned world. Here are two page examples:

If you prefer comparisons it’s Firefly, Labyrinth and Perdido Street Station in a nautical steampunk mash-up. The story is also an allegory for the modern era of globalization.

Venetia Toco falls through a portal to another world in a surfing accident. The place she ends up in is mostly oceanic, with only one remaining island. Strong economic disparity exists between the intelligent marine races and the remaining “air-breathers.” These different ethnicities have one thing in common: they all fetishize artifacts from Earth. Why? Because anything from Earth (bullets, chunks of wood, even human beings) can invoke special powers from ancient symbols called graphemes. Before the undead border patrol can capture her, a cuttlefish-shaped salvage submarine named The Rhizome retrieves Venetia. She joins the ship’s crew of odd displaced beings, led by the provocative radical Captain M.P. Skulker.

I create a twice-weekly updated webcomic called GO HOME PADDY.

GO HOME PADDY is the story of a Famine Era Irish immigrant arriving on American shores (Boston) and finding the same miseries that he had left behind on the other side of the Atlantic: bigotry, poverty and hatred. The tales deals with race, religion, assimilation, immigration and incorporates historical details such as the Great Hunger, the rise of the Know-Nothings, Victorian prejudices and the Great Boston Fire of 1872.

Hi Everyone, I'm Harknell and I do the editing for the comic "Stupid and Insane Defenders Against Chaos". In a nutshell the comic is about 2 universe--the Lifeside and the Deathside. The Deathside universe is basically an example of what would happen if the Lovecraft gods were to succeed and take over the universe. The Lifeside is where our heroes live (who are kinda Stupid and Insane), and who are the parallel universe versions of the evil high priest and priestess who rule the Deathside universe. So havoc ensues when eventually these 2 groups get switched. Oh, and one other detail--the Lifeside old gods (called the "Geriatric Ones") are just as stupid and insane as our heroes....
