    That Doomriders record is incredible.

    Today's listens:

    Wiz Khalifa - Kush & Orange Juice
    The Gaslight Anthem - American Slang
    Blacklisted - No One Deserves To Be Here More Than Me

    And I'll probably throw on the new Alcest later. Music rules.

    @infomancer: Alcest is so pretty. Are you able to compare "Ecailles De Lune" with "Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde"?

    Other things keep coming on but mostly:

    Janelle Monae
    Erikah Badu
    James Holden
    Sakanaction
    Some Japanese rapper called Potemkin (pronounced Pochyomukin) whose mixtape is really fun.

    Oh fuck it, I'll throw in videos, because they're good'uns:

    New Starkey you say, senor Muller? I will file that under 'essential purchase'.

    I must be feeling nostalgic for my youth because:

    New Crystal Castles. I'm filing that under FFFFUUUCCKK YYYEEEESSSS.

    (Very weird, one track appears to lift the whole vocal from Sigur Rós' Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur)

    What was on my MP3 player today...

    Desire - II
    Double Dagger - Masks
    Japandroids - ART CZARS 7''
    Kavinsky - Nightcall (2010)
    Megabats - in/out
    Mogwai/Fuck Buttons - Split 10"
    Sex Gang Children - Song And Legend
    Under The Noise - Of Generation And Corruption

    But the main music face off today was LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening Vs Holy Fuck - Latin. anbd so far the one winning is... Holy Fuck! The LCD soundsystem album is ooookay. It sounds a lot like Devo and Talking heads. But Holy Fuck just has more energy for me today.

    @JiveKitty

    I've only had Ecailles de Lune for a day or two now, but I think it's a more dynamic album than Souvenirs. Ecailles seems more to be a more confident album somehow, like when he wants to do a black metal section, he just goes for it. I'd personally be cool with him stepping up the viciousness on his album to more like 70/30, but that's just me.

    HA!

    Thanks for mentioning Megabats! That is my own project. Kinda blew my mind to see my own band on this list that I lurk on!

    and retry the LCD Soundsystem I had the initial "meh" feeling but now its totally seeped into my skeleton.

    @Debacle sam

    Shit man, that Is a small world! I got it last week through bandcamp and sir i applaude you on creating a wondrous slab oh psychic drone.

    People, get it here

    and it´s not that LCD soundsystem´s album is bad, in fact i agree that it´s very good. I suppose we all have to admit that it was never going to better "sound of silver", but to be honest what is. It´s more akin to sounding like the debut album.

    So glad for this thread! The last three or four days have been new Gorillaz (Sizer beat me to it), new Titus Andronicus, and new Dessa (MPLS based Doomtree hip-hop lyricist, approx. one million links from me here).

    @iceland bob, I danced with the Double Dagger singer a week ago. After he performed fellatio on a microphone he placed between some dude's legs.
