As I type this I'm listening to 800 Memories Per Second by Taphead. Downloaded it a while ago when Mr. Ellis posted the link but just got around to listening to it tonight. Now I'm kicking myself for procrastinating.

    Other music currently on repeat:

    Evelyn Evelyn - Elephant Elephant
    Slash - Slash
The Dirty Heads - Any Port In A Storm
    The Dead Weather - Horehound
Tool - 10,000 Days (a constant on my playlist)
The Cat Empire - So Many Nights
Seasick Steve - I Started Out With Nothing (And I Still Got Most Of It Left)
    Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
Cage The Elephant - Cage The Elephant

Is it odd that I've spent 4 hours this morning listening to music made live via Brian Eno's BLOOM app on my iPod Touch?
Lovely, lovely stuff, ambient in the truest sense of the word.
  1.  (8131.3)
    Richard Bliwas - Astral Prints.
Inexplicable surreal free jazz singer songwriter pianist. Like hearing a piano lounge singer channeling Sun Ra.

Not odd at all. I ran out (metaphorically) and picked up BLOOM, TROPE and AIR. I think I like TROPE's palette a little more than BLOOM. But they're all fascinating.

probably my favorite album of the year in progress is Pinnacles of Right-on-ness which is like Disneyland for psych-jazz-funk nerds, though I guess it actually was recorded in 08. If it sounds like your thing, it is downloadable there.
