Cerebral Coffins by Lilliputrid is a damn good site with a couple of playlists, one "industrial" drone, one just "dark" music that generates atmosphere, set over a series of collected images under various headings of this "weird" and "ugly." Well worth checking out if you like that type of thing.
And yes i use too many quotes where grammatically inappropriate, all this in an effort to approximate communication on the internets. I'll post this up on the art thread an the zoo because i think it's a decent resource to people here. If this isn't appropriate i'm sure it'll get deleted, just please send the arse eels in small numbers so i have a chance and catching a breeding pair for my own uses.
Currently listening to CocoRosie, Gray Oceans. It's an inexplicable blend of influences, some of them pop flavors over the past twenty years or so, fresh but laden with oblique references (at least to my oblique ears).
Ha, this thread's been going on for ages. Been listening to:

Currently listening to Peter Hammill's most recent one, Thin Air. It sounds like a Peter Hammill disc... actually like it on first listening better than most he's done the past decade.
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy/Palace Music- I See a Darkness, The Letting Go, Viva Last Blues Leonard Cohen- New Skin for the Old Ceremony Keepaway- Baby Style
DANGERS-messy, isn't it? lp (modern hardcore with songs about actual subjects instead of how great pizza is and how much they hate you. favorite find of the past few weeks. probably the cleanest sounding HC album ive glommed on to in a while, too. its negative as hell, but in the kind of YOU ARE GOING TO DIE, STOP WASTING YOUR TIME AND GET GOING sort of inspiring way) POLLUTION-ns drugs 7" (really starting to like this band a lot. dark and dirty and fucked with weird reverb on the vocals for the extra bit of evil)
ive only heard the first one once, but i like this one drastically more! the first song is a little weird, so it might be offputting but the rest is gold.
Their s/t EP has several amazing gems, including this:
They rape what we love. “These kids, they have no clue where their cash is going to. I’ll sit back, I’ll have the last of laughs, I’ll rape the thing they love.” They rape what we love. Bright lights. Fifteen mics. Process-fee what’s ours away. No stage is the only stage for me. No stage is the only stage for me. No stage is the only stage for me. No stage is the only stage for me. Eat my shit.
Dangers' Bandcamp in case anyone else reading this wants to check them out. They have the Messy LP on there too, so I'll be able to check if I like it as much, yay!
