    Usual REMAKE/REMODEL rules apply:

No pen-portraits. This is ART ONLY. Posting just a bunch of text, or a scribble and a vast number of words, will get the thread closed and your account banned.

NO MORE PHOTO-MANIPULATION "art". I'll just delete them. People have been drenching recent threads with several pieces at a time that they've knocked out in photoshop in 2 minutes with no thought at all. I consider this to be taking the piss now.

No more than ONE submission by any one person in any one REMAKE/REMODEL.

    So here's the deal:

    You are an artist/designer.

You have to put together the cover for the first issue of what you have been told is a "countercultural" comic called ZAP COMIX #1.

The publisher wants to be sure that you get the text FAIR WARNING: FOR ADULT INTELLECTUALS ONLY on the cover somewhere.

    And that's it.

("Countercultural" means 'alternative,' as in 'alt culture,' it is explained to you.)

It's up to you what kind of company you're at. What kind of comics you make. What era you're in. Who you are, even. Go nuts with it.

    You have one week. Go.

Can Sizer squeak this in before leaving for New York on Wednesday morning? Only time will tell...

My apologies if my entry in last week's CD cover was too heavy on the accompanying text.

You know, I actually ended up with a copy of Issue "0" of this series at some point. Unfortunately, I was too young to really appreciate it for the "countercultural" that it was.

This should be fun, though. Maybe I'll actually have time to take a stab at it.

Nothing, just hard work to do...You know, like creating something that has nothing to do with what was done for the original but still managing to do it "counterculturally". That kind of Riiiight. This one is a tough one.

Remember the 'head shop' I bought this at turned into where the RNC would meet in the 1990s.

Oh man I have a great idea for this.

I got Zap #1 from my pops and a brand new pack of microns. If only my scanner wasn't incompatible with my new computer. I guess I'll have to play along at home.

I've been meaning to ask: What's the meaning of "uchronal"? Similar to achrononal, apart from time? Google just returns these threads when I search.

I did this before work swallows my time
I just drew a random object of the daughter's - it seemed to fit.

If I hadn't completely lost my balls for doing it, I'd have a crack at this, whilst I don't have work eating all my time.

    For your viewing enjoyment:

By the way, Mr. Ellis: thank you for giving me a reason to type "Vintage Black Afro Porn" into Google Image Search. It's nice to have a reason for once.

@Doctor_Vulture Oh man. First thing in the morning. Now I'm going to be snickering under my breath all day and people around me will think I'm insane. Or more insane that usual. Nice one(s).
