I am throughly loving this turn of events. I would have jumped out of my seat with excitement were it not for staying up till 6 to watch the Greens take Brighton Pavilion and getting up 3 hours later.
@ somnonaut "Don't tell me I'm the only one seeing an inadvertent godmode pattern here."
Nope, I've commented before on the subliminal biblical elements.
So, I guess Mark ain't due for the wormery yet either, and that does not bode well. Luke is, of course, a total anus, but Mark is, I believe, aserioulsly dangerous sociopath.
I KNEW Luke was not dead. I just had this crazy feeling. I don't think any of them can die. The panels showing Connor leaving are so sad; made my heart hurt for him. But seriously, they are all so messed up; Connor is the only one with any sense, most of the time. Of course, I can't wait to see what happens next. The story just keeps getting better.
Should finally have a nice spring day, here in the Pacific Northwest. Not nearly warm enough, but better than Monday.
Here's a thought (though someone may have said this before and I missed it) - did Arkady die when she overdosed?
It's raining and chilly and beautifully gloomy here. Though we're supposed to go camping tomorrow and the forecast is even worse. I like chilly rainy gloomy from inside my house, but not so much when out in a tent.
Oooh, thunder!
Why is Connor leaving? Will Jack regret what he said to Sirkka? Will Sirkka regret what she said to Jack? Will Kait still want to deal with Jack as a murderer even when the guy he murdered is no longer dead? Once they all know that they don't stay dead, will someone else kill Luke again just for shits and giggles?
Mark isn't dead, Luke isn't dead, and now we're going to be spending the next two months listening to everyone yell at each other. It would be nice if they could come to a reasonable consensus, but I think I'm with Jack on this one. No matter what seems to happen, they keep running themselves in the same interpersonal circles.
Maybe, maybe, being unkillable will be enough to finally get them to listen to each other. But it will probably just be Mark and Luke flipping out on power. :-(
I have to admit that my reaction to the final page was a vaguely annoyed "Oh for fuck's sake, what does it take to really kill these people?" That said, I'm eagerly anticipating the beginning of Volume 5.
pauls art is amazing,if the last page was a poster i would frame it and hang it over my fireplace and i hope avatar gives him some more cover work I love the anna mercury covers

Woot validation, despite this being a week of mediocre reviews of my work. Time to step it up a bit, apparently. One more presentation today, then . . . contemplation and a roll up of the sleeves and a digging in, it seems.
@cjtremlett I don't know if Arkady died when she OD'd, but since she seems to have one of the most "opened" packages, and she seems to have "leveled up" again since her concussion/drowning, most likely, yes, she did die. . . .which means Luke is also going to be (even) more powerful now?
reaction to final page "ahh fuuuck, you actually went there... nice!"
an old phrase comes to mind now "if you cant kill them, join them", dont know how it would be applied, but it does make for interesting speculation
now that its pretty clear that violence wont solve disputes among the Freakangels, its going to make for an interesting ride to see how they will deal with each other and the issues that divide them.
well... I with everyone else: "Holy shit!" "WTF!?!?!" "Oh, you got me!" "Jaw-dropped!" "I knew it!" "Didn't see that coming!" and "yeah... this week's been pretty awesome!"
