    No pen-portraits. This is ART ONLY. Posting just a bunch of text, or a scribble and a vast number of words, will get the thread closed and your account banned.

    NO MORE PHOTO-MANIPULATION "art". I'll just delete them. People have been drenching recent threads with several pieces at a time that they've knocked out in photoshop in 2 minutes with no thought at all. I consider this to be taking the piss now.

    No more than ONE submission by any one person in any one REMAKE/REMODEL.


    So here's the deal:

    You are an artist/designer.

    You have to put together the cover for the first issue of something called WONDER WOMAN #1.

    You have been told that Wonder Woman is an Amazon, that she wears steel bracelets and an eagle icon. You know nothing else about the character.

    And that's it.

    It's up to you what kind of company you're at. Your interpretation of the vague guideline. What kind of comics you make. What era you're in. Who you are, even. Go nuts with it.

    You have one week. Go.

    I hate drawing hands more than Liefeld hates drawing feet. Unpolished quick sketch now, if the week treats me well I might get colours etc in later.

    Hey, Liefeld hates drawing hands just as much as he does feet! And guns that would work...

    I'm reading "steel bracelets and an eagle emblem" as Nazi, but I want to go in another direction, so I'll have to have a think on this one...

    Instantly had a Nazi moment meself. A testament to the staying power of striking powerful symbols regardless of how reviled they are. And well it is somewhat shameful that for some people the Eagle itself is instantly connected to the Nazis. When for others, I'd warrant, it be the symbol of America with the whole Bald Headed thingy.

    Anyways I may just go with my first thought. As someone said to me once, dont second guess yourself. Well... it was due to snooker.

    When I heard Amazon, I saw this. At first I was thinking that I didn't want you all to think that beautiful black women with afros was, like, my "thing". Then I thought: "Wait a second...why ISN'T that my thing?"
