Ed Sludden: That's WILD. Not what I was expecting to see before I scrolled down past the logo; but even better!

kmcleod: Well, they cut their boobs off. This one has a neat Lupo the Butcher vibe to it...

    sleemo: I'd pick that up.

Sizer: Wow. DC should pay you for that...

I decided to go the pseudo-historical action/drama route, I guess. This would be the ...uh ... limited edition pencil variant cover for ... some convention ...thing. Yeah.

@Berserker - Brilliant! In so many ways. Rubble words. Muscles. Outfit. You have outdone yourself, sir.

edit. Mine's coming. Inks scanned, but really hoping to get colours/design done tomorrow.

Originally I was going to go the 'Galactica 9' route but I had a typographic idea stuck in my head from the "True Romance" exercise -
I sketched too many mono-breasted Xena clones before this hit

Did this as a test for some digital art that I want to do upcoming... sort of just a weird method of coloring, but I'm not sure my style of drawing here is suited to it. Also, my prison escapee idea was done already...

@ sebfowler & shining_lion - Thanks, gents. I feel a little bad about being so 'literal' in the interpretation, but someone had to go that road, eh?

@ Rooth - I'm beginning to think having to go without nice things like Photoshop or a digital tablet or a table and chair of matching heights makes you a better artist in the long run. As opposed to rather faster with, I suppose... And thank you! That Funrama piece was fun.

@Berserker: I fucking love this picture. The missing breast, the curly Gorgon hair. I loved watching you draw this. I love you too.

    DAMN! You took my Idea!

    POST EDITED:
Came up with more..Um "Cough"..."ORiginal" Idea.
You can see the other one on my Dev art page.

KirbyPunch: That's funny. I had originally wanted mine to look more like a doctor's office brouchure for stress, or something, but wanted to try out that different art method, too, so ended up mixing them. Let's just say that ours are variant covers of the same book...

@jackcrowder : That looks like the trade dress for a poetry journal from some late 70s academic publisher with a circulation of nine. Or possibly a book on Freud.

Lots of good stuff. I've already commented on some, but there's a whole bunch of goodies here: well done to Doctor Vulture ('fro-tastic illo), FredG, oogliemooglie, Paul Sizer, Ed Sludden, Berserker (I always like your sword & sorcery-style submissions), Francundo (a great, decorative interpretation), KirbyPunch (Wonder Woman in a Marvel Comic!) jamesmith3 - I love the latin take on WW!
