I decided to go the pseudo-historical action/drama route, I guess. This would be the ...uh ... limited edition pencil variant cover for ... some convention ...thing. Yeah.
Originally I was going to go the 'Galactica 9' route but I had a typographic idea stuck in my head from the "True Romance" exercise - Hope folks enjoy ...
Did this as a test for some digital art that I want to do upcoming... sort of just a weird method of coloring, but I'm not sure my style of drawing here is suited to it. Also, my prison escapee idea was done already...

@ Rooth - I'm beginning to think having to go without nice things like Photoshop or a digital tablet or a table and chair of matching heights makes you a better artist in the long run. As opposed to rather faster with, I suppose... And thank you! That Funrama piece was fun.
KirbyPunch: That's funny. I had originally wanted mine to look more like a doctor's office brouchure for stress, or something, but wanted to try out that different art method, too, so ended up mixing them. Let's just say that ours are variant covers of the same book...
@jackcrowder : That looks like the trade dress for a poetry journal from some late 70s academic publisher with a circulation of nine. Or possibly a book on Freud.
Lots of good stuff. I've already commented on some, but there's a whole bunch of goodies here: well done to Doctor Vulture ('fro-tastic illo), FredG, oogliemooglie, Paul Sizer, Ed Sludden, Berserker (I always like your sword & sorcery-style submissions), Francundo (a great, decorative interpretation), KirbyPunch (Wonder Woman in a Marvel Comic!) jamesmith3 - I love the latin take on WW!
