The first is The Life of Nob T. Mouse, a surrealist science-fantasy webcomic that has been running since 1996. The comic charts the life of Nob T. Mouse, a cafe owner and part-time adventurer who is also mayor of a oddball frontier town that exists in a high degree of quantum instability. It regularly features a purposely childlike design, lots of silly machines, wordplay and disguised references to real science.

The second is All over the house, a comedy webcomic charting the lives of two women who live together in an 'odd couple' style relationship. Emily Westwood is a cynical journalist who despairs at the state of humanity and is a bit of an inventor on the side. She recently managed to get herself elected to Parliament on the basis that her only real rival was an utter moron. Her housemate is Tesrin Stepford-Brown, a borderline delusional yet rather successful barrister who practices demonology as a hobby because she's under the impression that "someone has to". The series usually features a gag-a-day format but occasionally drifts into story mode, although my co-writer and I try to keep the jokes flowing when this happens.

The Great Zombie Plague wiped out a fair portion of civilization, and humans weren’t the only victims of its ravenous hunger. But that was years ago, and where cattle, pigs, and sheep got scarce, practical sorts found a new herd to market: the zombies themselves!

Now a crew has come out to film a new reality television series on the subject. To the viewers in the Safe Zones, it might be an eye-opener; but for Suzie and her compadres it’s just another day in the unlife.

If you prefer comparisons it’s Firefly, Labyrinth and Perdido Street Station in a nautical steampunk mash-up. The story is also an allegory for the modern era of globalization.

Venetia Toco falls through a portal to another world in a surfing accident. The place she ends up in is mostly oceanic, with only one remaining island. Strong economic disparity exists between the intelligent marine races and the remaining “air-breathers.” These different ethnicities have one thing in common: they all fetishize artifacts from Earth. Why? Because anything from Earth (bullets, chunks of wood, even human beings) can invoke special powers from ancient symbols called graphemes. Before the undead border patrol can capture her, a cuttlefish-shaped salvage submarine named The Rhizome retrieves Venetia.
