Saw this when I checked out the blog of Whitechapel's own @AnnieWu (or did Warren officially rechristen her @ANNIE FUCKING WU in the redesign thread?):
And for my first announcement as a legit, full-time illustrator... I've been working on a project with ELLE Magazine for a while; this is a screencap of the site that just went live today. It's like a motion comic/animated webseries hybrid called "Dirty Little Secret", and I illustrated all the characters. I wish I could also say I wrote it and did all the awesome animating and backgrounds, but I'm not that good at multi-tasking. The trailer is online; the first episode premieres next week. There's also a short video interview on the site, showing a little bit of my process.

For those of us who've been watching Annie's work and salivating copiously, this is a really cool announcement. I haven't had time to check out the comics/webseries itself, but the 'making-of' video was really cool.

After seeing that Western-themed work I became sure that I wanted to have her babies. So... yeah. This is good news.

The trailer alone is worth the visit. I look forward to seeing the further work. Wu's talent shines.

Apparently I jumped the gun a little. The series itself starts in two days — on the 25th. Right now, there's just the trailer, and the behind-the-scenes.

But yeah, it's by Annie — and I have yet to see her do anything that isn't gold.

Hey now! We're doing the Annie appreciation thread??? Yeah, she's pretty damn great. It's super-science. The project looks very cool. I use that Tresemme maximum hold spray, great product! [/endorsement]

    Also; I have this

    You jealous now! Ha-ha-ha!

    Oh, shit. Thanks, guys.

I'm looking forward to getting more work out there, and I'll do my damnedest to make sure it will all be worth your eyeballs' time. Not sure if I mentioned this in the video interview (still haven't watched it)... I actually had to put another project on hold to start this thing with ELLE, so work is going to keep coming even after this series is over. Just wait until you see what it is. It'll melt your face.

@Annie, you didn't mention that other project in the interview. I'm looking forward to it.

(And as I've said in the past — love to work with you at some point.)

Eeee! I love Annie's stuff. This is great! One day I'm going to write a story worthy of her art, and pay her a lot of money to illustrate it.
