Came up with three different covers for this one. But rules say I can only submit one, so here it is:

thanks for all the kind words, and to Warren Ellis for reposting it to his blog. this one's been great so far.

@kmcleod: I want arm-based concord runways. Miniature luxury air travel could render helper monkeys obsolete.

@mrmcdaniel: love the top illustration, colors, and the NEW portion of the logo

@FredG "Hope you didn't edit because of my story comment" I did, you had a fair point (which I didn't take as criticism). I'd not like to bend rules too far, I want the threads to keep going.

Every one of these is fucking outstanding.

    @Robb. You're a madman!

@Ed Sullen. I love it, very eyecatching.

@Paul Sizer. Hitting another home run Paul. Showing us all that less is definitely more there.

@Fred G. My favourite by far.

Quality over quantity from everyone involved. Puts my pissy half assed gag rip off to shame.

    100 kudos to everybody.

Thread got quiet for a few, and then BANG BANG BANG Awesomeness.
Nice shots Ed, Payno and MrMcDaniel, well played.
Thanks for the repost, Warren. My Google Analytics always goes bananas when you do that.

    Ed Sludden: Super Cool!

Sizer: Jeez, that's really awesome, and just really well designed...

payno: Love the colors and design.

mrmcdaniel: Looks like Charles Burns and Paul Sizer had a baby (artistically...).

Not the world's most original idea I know, but it gave me a chance to mess around with a few new pshop techniques. Quite pleased with the how the hand (which is mine, by the way) turned out. It has that 70's airbrushed feel to it which reminds me of all those charity-shop brought sci-fi books I used to own.

Robb - strangely enough I just finished reading the issue with those stories in yesterday.

    Bravo, Raid. Nice type system.

    Don't judge our art-based love, Andrew! It's pure! : )

There's probably a German word for "the sensation of mixed anticipation and anxiety experienced between Ellis posting the Remodel challenge and the peak period for posting responses".

Raid, is your breakfast cereal made of pure imaginativeness? Can I have some?

Your work is always so fresh and creative and lateral. Much cheers.

WOW. Amazing thread. Great work everyone... but Raid71. That is some seriously beautiful work. I would put that on my wall, in fact, can I put it on my wall?

Here's my go. Randomly had started it with three globes (as payno) but thought I'd keep em anyhow.

This is my terrible attempt to participate in Whitechapel's forum. I didn't finish it to spare you all. Thank you to Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield for Freakangels.
  5.  (8284.18)
Raid 71: Love that logo. Super colorful and a bit like something from a '70s Sesame Street cartoon short...

Sobreiro: That's so much like a real magazine, it hurts! I feel like I owe you 5 bucks...

Stunning. The fact that most folks did not have a real frame of reference for this has really freed up the talent to go wild. This has been my favourite R/R for a while. You're all stars.
