thanks for all the kind words, and to Warren Ellis for reposting it to his blog. this one's been great so far.
@kmcleod: I want arm-based concord runways. Miniature luxury air travel could render helper monkeys obsolete.
@mrmcdaniel: love the top illustration, colors, and the NEW portion of the logo
@FredG "Hope you didn't edit because of my story comment" I did, you had a fair point (which I didn't take as criticism). I'd not like to bend rules too far, I want the threads to keep going.
Thread got quiet for a few, and then BANG BANG BANG Awesomeness. Nice shots Ed, Payno and MrMcDaniel, well played. Thanks for the repost, Warren. My Google Analytics always goes bananas when you do that.
Not the world's most original idea I know, but it gave me a chance to mess around with a few new pshop techniques. Quite pleased with the how the hand (which is mine, by the way) turned out. It has that 70's airbrushed feel to it which reminds me of all those charity-shop brought sci-fi books I used to own.

There's probably a German word for "the sensation of mixed anticipation and anxiety experienced between Ellis posting the Remodel challenge and the peak period for posting responses".
WOW. Amazing thread. Great work everyone... but Raid71. That is some seriously beautiful work. I would put that on my wall, in fact, can I put it on my wall?
Here's my go. Randomly had started it with three globes (as payno) but thought I'd keep em anyhow.
Stunning. The fact that most folks did not have a real frame of reference for this has really freed up the talent to go wild. This has been my favourite R/R for a while. You're all stars.
