   I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
   A long time ago I used did some house sitting for Mr. Meeker a few times as well, his son Willy (of course, Willy) might still have my drumsticks.

   Former journalist. Used to work on the Sports Desk of The Chicago Tribune, until the market shifted a bit (read: Laid off). Also did freelance pieces for publications around Chicago.
   Currently a bit frustrated with Journalism as a whole these days, from both a business and editorial standpoint.

   I sort of kind of qualify as journalist-ish, but only by the most tenuous definition.
   
   I'm a reviewer. I've written hundreds of book reviews for readersclub.org, a resource run by the library where I work. I've also written book reviews for the Charlotte Observer, a large newspaper in North Carolina.
   
   I'd like to do a lot more. My toe is in the door right now, if not my whole foot.
