@arklight -- A fair warning, the closing credits to BB are a kind of distilled awesome that the rest of the movie doesn't match. The movie is a lot of fun, but you can't take it too seriously. Think of it as a 1980's Doc Samson with tongue firmly planted in cheek. The antagonists (played by John Lithgow and Christopher Lloyd, among others) get all the best lines, though.
Can't forget Rosie Perez (or J-Lo Mark 1 as I call her), totally owning the opening credits to "Do The Right Thing" by Spike Lee. The accompanying Music is Public enemy - "Fight the Power"
Opening credits to "Do The Right Thing"
The opening titles of the above movie were great and lead on to a great movie. Below is the opposite though, fantastic opening titles in the same vein as the above, but the movie was terrible.A movie about the street phenomena of organised dance battles. This is the best bit of the whole movie...unfortunately...
For closing credits, mine have to be "The Other Guys." As for opening credits it be a toss up between Spartacus, The Wrath of Khan, Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heavens door, 2001, Fight Club, Fellowship of the Ring and Ghost In the Shell: Innocence.
The end credits of Hammer's 'Quatermass and the Pit' stick in my mind: as the credits roll the camera lingers on Quatermass, who is looking knackered and worn out in the ruins of London. Very downbeat.
This is like the only Adam Sandler movie I like, and I think that's because Paul Thomas Anderson (not to be confused with that tool that makes Resident Evil) did a fantastic job as director. He got Jeremy Blake, a legendary digital/video artist to do the credits and interludes. Beautiful stuff made out of shifting colors and opium dreams.
Me too. I skipped over it for years because...Adam Sandler...and when a bunch of fans responded to a Cracked article in it's defense I knew there had to be something there. Fan-tastic. Also led me to Ghouliardi (Paul Anderson's Dad), who was a Cleveland spooky/hip personality back in the day.
There is not a bad scene in that entire movie. It is perfect.
