Saw them at the w/end at Dot to Dot, had never heard any of their stuff before, bought "Sisterworld" on the way out of the gig, playing it now.

Also, the new Crystal Castles record is great.

@Florence Chan: How do you like the Janelle Monae? I haven't heard it yet but have heard good things.

I'm currently addicted to The Only Ones. I only have one of their albums and it's a compilation for American release at that (Special View). But they are amazing - "out there in the night" is a great track.

Trying to get into the new Plants and Animals. I love their first album to pieces but the new one isn't doing it for me. That usually happens.

My PWEI binge is subsiding, and now I'm switching to:

    Fever Ray
    Foals: Total Life Forever
    James: The Night Before
With occasional bursts from the Poppies coming through.

Currently, I'm putting the finishing touches on the music for my wedding this weekend.

I escort my mom to her seat to the lovely sounds of Aphex Twin's Avril 14th

The wedding party enters to The King Blues, I Got Love.

We enter the reception to "Another Girl, Another Planet" by The Only Ones.

Our first dance is "Rainy Night in Soho" by The Pogues, and the last dance is "What a Wonderful World" by Shane MacGowan and Nick Cave.

In between, there'll be Mod, Brit Pop, Stax, and some old Industrial as a nod to our stompy, stompy youth.

Right this moment I'm listening to Animal Collective. Merriweather Post Pavilion, and the song right now is My Girls. Something tells me that this album is going to get quite a few listens this week.

This week has been a lot of Billie Holiday, Liz Phair and The Heavy's 'The House That Dirt Built' album.

Here's a song from The House That Dirt Built that I really enjoy.
  6.  (8330.19)
Death From Above 1979 - Blood on our Hands
Death From Above1979 - Romantic Rights

There's simply something beautiful about bass + drums duos (Jucifer being another great one).

    Rolo Tomassi
    Blood Red Shoes
