still hooked on new Dead Weather album Sea of Cowards. the lead singer tends to crack her voice a lot and on purpose. It might grate some people, but I am okay with it ^__^
Fair amount of Miles and Coltrane this week, as they regularly cycle back into my listening.
Also, just to add some contrast, a lot of classic thrash metal as well as newer retro-thrash: metallica, megadeth, dark angel(old); havok, warbringer, fueled by fire(new).

@oldhat Thank you for alerting me to The Heavy. That is a wicked tune and I will now take steps to acquire more of their music.
This week I've listened to series 3 of Blue Jam, which definitely includes one of my favourite "Him" monologues ("The only way I could think of saying 'I do' is if I said 'fucked if' first."), the missing child song and Fixit Girl terrorising the farmer. It also has made me dig out Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev and Beacoup Fish by Underworld (although tbh I don't ever have to dig very far for Underworld albums, especially not this time of year).
Speaking of, the new Underworld single, Scribble, makes me very happy.

Plus the Redhino mix from last week's Mary Anne Hobbs show.
Hey, thanks for the Earthtone9 link! It's close to some things I like but different enough from my other music to give me a new, excellent experience. Great stuff.
Finally bought Cosmogramma, also picked up a GonjaSufi 7". Was listening to a mix called Insert Coin earlier which is pretty fresh, the tracklist runs.

Bitchin'. I've been listening to I-III a lot lately. Something about those albums just says nighttime in the summer to me. Sweaty, angry, mean music. Hope the new one will fit in with that.
Love the first three albums, but the repetition of "on a wicked night" during the song can get a bit grating.
Iron Maiden, a bunch of Clutch albums, the Sex Pistols, Shellac, Shape of Despair, Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age, Rammstein and Metallica today.
