Listening update - I just listened all the way through Watain's upcoming album Lawless Darkness and will probably do so at least a couple more times in the next few days. It's streaming in full for free on metalsucks.net and is by far the most evil, icy yet accessible and listenable new black metal since Immortal's All Shall Fall.

Pogo mixes. This DJ from Australia makes really cool music track using sound bits from movies. He has a lot of really cool ones, but the two below are the most popular. I also really enjoy "Bangarang" which is from Hook.

Saw these guys over the weekend. The guy has a spot on guitar sound from his piano (And a whammy bar!). They covered 'War Pigs' at the end of their set. Lots of energy and a helluva good time.

hahaha i was just trying to describe this UK band MOLOCH that is playing at noon on saturday here, and 'scary metal' was the first thing i thought of. i think it should be quite a shock for them to come here and play in arizona in the middle of the day in a storage unit in FUCKING JUNE
