On the music front...I strongly disagree on the latest Mars Volta being boring! For my money it's a return to form, Amputecture and Francis the Mute had great moments but where largely ruined by random spurts of static and seemed to be a little too self indulgent for my liking. This seems to be a lot more concise and their new tub thumper will probably tear himself apart trying to do just one last jaw dropping fill.
